Mira hears the roar of the crowd in the Capitol playing live over the speakers. She was still in shock about what happened a few moments ago.

Destan is dead.

She stared blankly at the vast sea ahead of her, afraid to look down from the cliff, fearing the sight of her district partner's dismantled form. Then the sound of a hovercraft materializes over her and a ladder drops down, she first stares at it blankly and unconsciously puts her hand on the ladder and the electric current freezes her in place. She was sure that it did because she knew she would fall off from the exhaustion.

Sure enough, the minute the door closed behind her, Mira slumped on the floor unconscious.

When she woke up, she was afraid to move at first. The entire ceiling glows with a soft yellow light, allowing her to see the room she is in. She was wearing nothing but her undergarments under the sheets, making her panic.

What if she was raped?

She feels a panic attack coming and moves herself closer to the headboard, feeling as if Ash would come out of the door and finish what he started. Her tears kept pouring from her eyes, and she tried her best to cover everything. Fisting out the sheets in hopes that it would protect her.

The door opens and an Avox comes in with a tray of food in her hand. Mira stares at her in fear, still clutching the sheets against her body as she watches the Avox put the tray on her bedside table, completely ignoring the frightened girl on the bed. When the Avox leaves, Mira cautiously eyes the tray filled with a bowl of soup and a glass of water. She doesn't completely trust anything that she knew came from the Capitol. She thinks she was still in the games, and the food laid out for her to eat was poisoned. The Capitol was watching her, waiting for her to delve into the food and then die from it.

No, she will not be fooled.

She ignored the sound of her stomach, sat up on the bed, and nervously tucked her hair behind both her ears. That was when she noticed her clean hands. Her hair was silky and her skin was smooth, like how it felt when she was pampered before the games.  She felt her tears pooling at the thought of the other tributes who were alive before the games.

Destan.

Stone.

She killed a young girl.

She was a monster.

That was her last thought before she cried herself back to sleep.

The next time she woke up, her throat felt so dry that it hurt when she swallowed. She eyed the untouched food on her bedside and hesitated before reaching out to grab the glass of water. She took a sip and waited for anything to happen. When she was sure that the water wasn't poisoned, she gulped the whole glass until there was nothing left. However, she decided against the soup and scanned the room she was in. The color drained from her face when her eyes landed on the same clothes she wore in the arena. She didn't know if it was a trick or if she was just supposed to wear that when she met her team. Nonetheless, she quickly put on the fresh clothes and walked towards a wall where she remembered the door was supposed to be.

The invisible door suddenly slides open, and she steps into a wide, deserted hall with no other doors. She walks anxiously, playing with the hem of her shirt, and feels more claustrophobic as she goes further into the hallway. Then, she hears her name being called by a familiar voice. She turns and sees her team in a big chamber at the end of the hall waiting for her.

She freezes at first when she sees them- Thalassa, Nixie, Mags, Eldoris, Adrian, and Finnick. As her eyes met the familiar green ones, she felt her feet take off without another thought. She runs for them, unknowingly launching herself in Finnick's arms first. Tears pour out of her eyes as she buries her face on Finnick's neck.
