There is nothing more painful than losing your mother so early especially when you are the only child. I never thought a day like this will come early, I will say goodbye to my mom.
" I sat down on the floor with uncontrollably tears flowing freely down my eyes as the nurses covered my mum body and take her to the mortuary.
" The only song that came to my mouth as the nurses her wheeling my mum to the mortuary was "Goodbye is so sad " by Celine Dion.
" My Dad and Damon got to the hospital and met me crying on the floor.
" They rushed towards me and my Dad went on his knees in front of me.
" Where is your mom Angel? Is she in the emergency room? What did the doctor say? He said worried written all over his face.
" I could not answer because my tears refused to stop and my mouth seems to be shut down.
" When my dad sees am not going to answer any of his question, he quickly ran towards a Doctor who was passing by.
"Excuse me! Please do you know what ward my wife is he asked the doctor.
" Did you mean the woman they rushed in with an ambulance thirty minutes ago said the doctor.
"Yes! My Dad answered and nodded.
" What a pity! She gave you up before she was wheeled into the emergency room said the doctor pitifully.
"Damn it! My dad said and stamped his foot on the floor covering his eyes with his palms .
" I am so sorry for the lost sir, I guess she is in a better place right now the doctor said patting my dad shoulder.
" I looked at my Dad from afar and I saw a tear dropped from his eyes.
" You need to be strong sir, we love her but God loves her best said the doctor and walked away.
" As the news hit Damon he didn't know who to console between me and my Dad.
" Angel stopped crying Damon said for the first time since they got to the hospital.
"My mum is dead Damon , I don't have my priceless gold again I said and burst into another fresh tears.
" He pulled me up into his arms and pat my back as I cried on his shoulder because he was confused on which reply he should give me.
" We left the hospital after my mom was embalmed, Damon drives us home and we met his parents in front of our house for the first time.
" I guess he had informed his parents about my mum's demise so they came to comfort and console us.
" We are so sorry to hear about the loss of your wife said Damon's dad to my Dad.
" Thank you my Dad said and went inside.
" Angel! Am so sorry about the lost of your mom, I promise to be your mum from today onwards Damon mum stated.
" I looked at her as if she meant what she was saying.
" Thank you so much ma I said in between tears .
" They left after they spoke with my Dad for a few minute inside while I was sitting outside with Damon consoling me.
" Just like a dream my mum burial day came and she was finally laid to rest. Every family members including Damon's parents were present to give their tribute.
" When it got to my turn ,it was hard to believe that my mom is just gone, Mum! You will forever a hold a place in my heart because it would take me a very long time to finally comes to term that you are no more.
" I will always love you till forever comes I said with tears flowing uncontrollably down my eyes as I dropped a rose on her coffin. it was hard but life had to move on.
" Damon's parents didn't even let some days passed by before they start discussing my wedding preparations with my Dad.
" I will think about it my Dad said and left them on the burial spot.
"My dear, Your mum is dead and she is never coming back again so brace yourself up and start preparing for your wedding said Damon's mum.
" You need to get pregnant first before we can choose a date for your wedding so please move back to your fiance house so you can quickly make it happen you know what I meant she stated.
" How can people be so heartless like this, Now I see who their son takes after I thought to myself.
" I have been living with my Dad since my mom died so they are trying to tell me to go back to their son house or What?
