ANGEL POV
" I woke up to the smell of my favorite food which is fried egg and plantain, I perceived the aroma is so good.
" Hello sweetheart, Good morning " I heard Damon voice.
" I opened my eyes and was surprised I slept that much since yesterday evening. " I gently sat up .
" Are you here to hit me again i said angrily . " Come on Angel! I have been here since yesterday to apologize to you but I was told not to disturb you that you have been given an injection.
" Am so sorry for hitting you, I promise I will change from now especially now that we are expecting our first child. " Who told you am pregnant I asked him.
" The nurse of course! he said smiling.
" Forgive me Angel! he said holding my hands giving me a puppy eyes.
" This is what you say every time you hit me, can I ask you a question . " Of... course he said giving me go ahead.
" Why did you normally hit me for any slightest mistakes I made? Don't you love me because I don't really get why you always beat me. " Am also a woman too Damon! Blood runs through my veins, can you stop maltreating me like am an animal! I half yelled at him because I knew he can't do anything to me since we are outside.
" Stop shouting babe, We will talk better once we get home he brilliantly ignored my question. " He placed the tray on the side table beside me , it looks yummy he said bringing out the cutlery. " Come on eat! the food is gonna get cold he said to me.
" I was discharged the next day and that was the last time I set my eyes on the matron.
SIX MONTHS LATER
" Damon and I had a court wedding with just a few family members and friends in attendance . We were not up to 20 in attendance and that was his parents decisions.
" I was surprised to see Jarvis in attendance, he didn't say a word to me except from the congratulations he said to Damon.
" No honey moon because I had a lot of complications . I visit the hospital thrice a week for checkup and different test.
" After the wedding, Damon totally changed into a new leaf, he treated me with love and care. .
" He was there anytime I need him and I think my mother in law was right that he is going to stop maltreating me once am carrying his child.
" His joy knows no bounds when the scan revealed I was crying a bouncing baby boy. " Next month we are traveling to Dubai to shop for our baby before going to UK because that's where am going to deliver our baby.
" Not until this evening, we are both in the bedroom giving our son all different kinds of name we are going to call him when he said he wanted to ease himself.
" He went to the toilet not quite long when his phone started ringing on the dressing table. " I got down sluggishly from the bed because am heavy , to go pick up his phone.
" I was about to pick up his phone and call him that he have a call when he suddenly rushed out of toilet and pushed me away and I loose my balance and fell on my stomach.
" Why did you have to pick up my call he said angrily picking up his phone.
" Damon! I cried out in pain . " He looked at me and said Oh my God! am so sorry Angel.
" He quickly rushed towards me and carried me. " I look in between my legs and I saw blood gushing out of it. " My.... baby... my.... baby Damon! I cried in pain, please.... save ...my ...baby I said and everything becomes dark.
