Episode 28

The next day I woke up around 5:30 AM, it would be Kenzie and I's last day in Seattle. She had school and I had to get back to work. I went downstairs. I couldn't sleep so I sat outside at the patio set and watched the sky starting to turn light. I heard the door click I turn and see Vinnie standing there. I turn back to the sky.

"It's pretty out here isn't it?" He asks I nod and hum to his question.

"When we broke up I used to sit and stare at the sky too," he says.

"Why do you always bring up our past?" I ask. His face softens as he sits on the seat with me.

"Because we have an amazing story that is worth telling," he says

"But we aren't together anymore and you bringing it up kinda hurts my heart so let's not bring it up again," he says.

"You can try and forget but you won't be able to Rox," he says.

"I was your everything and you were mine, I still am." He says. I turn and look at him.

"No you aren't, you were," I say.

"You were my everything, you left us, but you gave me my forever," I said.

"I'm going to go pack, we are leaving later." I say getting up from my seat and wrapping my robe around me again. I walked inside and up the stairs to my bedroom. I packed my bags and looked at my sleeping daughter laying in my bed. She was adorable how could she not be she looked just like Vinnie. She had my hair and my eyes though. But she had his curly hair and his face. She cuddled into me. I fell asleep. I was woken up again by Mason.

"Aunt Rox, Momma said to wake you up, Mimi is taking us out," he says I nod and get up. Once i get ready I get Kenzie ready and do her hair. Our whole family went to the zoo. Kenzie, Mason, and Lilly had become the bestest of friends, even-though they were cousins. Kenzie was holding my hand and she pointed to the Lion standing on the rock. I wasn't paying attention some guys kid bumped into us.

"Oh I am so sorry," he says.

"Oh no, it's okay," I say he smiles.

"Is this your daughter?" He asks I nod. I feel Vinnie come next to us.

"Yup this our daughter, such a cutie isn't she?" He says wrapping his arm around my waist I push him arm off of me.

"Well it was nice talking, but this little one wants to see the monkeys," I say he smiles and nods. He walks away I glare at Vinnie Mavis comes to us. She covers Kenzie's ears.

"Cockblock," she says to Vinnie with the coldest glare I laugh and we continue walking.

We had spent the rest of the day with everyone. My brothers brought our bags down for us.

"Kenz, go say bye to Nana and Mimi," I say she groans and walks slowly to them. She hugs them then all of my brothers and everyone else. I hug my parents then everyone else. I hug Mavis and Vinnie is standing next to her. I hug him because why not. He stuffs something in my pocket. I looked at him confused.

"Open it later," he whispers. We get into the car and drive to the airport. Paparazzi is there flashing pictures as we walk by. We board the plane and when we land. We walk through the airport. Once we reach the doors. Paparazzi followed us.

"Roxanne! We heard about Vinnie getting engaged, How do you feel?" I ignore them and grab Kenzie closer to me.

"Mackenzie! How do you feel?" I look at them.

"Look I understand this is your job, but please leave my kid and everyone else's kids out of anything, When I'm with my child please leave me alone!" I say. I walk to the car I called. We get in and they drive us to my house. I see Nessa and Bryces cars in the driveway. We go inside and Kenzie runs straight to Nessa.
