The next week

I tucked Kenzie into bed and kissed her head. She looked up at me.

"Momma," I look at her.

"yes honey?" I say.

"Do you think Daddy's actually going to marry her?" She asks. I hesitate for a second.

"I don't know honey," I say she nods and kisses my cheek.

"I love you mom, Goodnight," She says.

"Goodnight," I say I get up and click her night light on and turn off her light, Closing the door behind me. I go downstairs to her playroom and clean up the toys. After I was done I went into the kitchen and poured a glass of wine and sat on the couch with my laptop. I hadn't talked to Vinnie since the night he kissed me. I didn't know how to feel about it. I heard my phone ding. I grabbed it.

I set my laptop to the side and walked to the door he was standing there.

"Kenzie is sleeping,"

"I want to talk to you," He says I nod and open the door so he can come in. He walks to the couch and sits. I sit down also.

"Vinnie, why are you here?" I ask.

"I love you,"

"I love you too,"

"No like I love you, Only you," He says I look at him confused.

"Vinnie, what about Rachel?"

"This doesn't involve her, This is you and me," He says I close my eyes and inhale deeply.

"Vinnie, You can't keep telling me to forget her, she is the woman you are marrying, and you keep popping up, kissing me, and telling me you love me, I am trying to move on for the sake of our daughter, and you aren't helping," I say.

"I understand that, But don't you think Kenz would be happier if we were together?" He asks.

"She would, But we aren't," I say.

"But we can be," He says.

"No, we can't-" The doorbell rings I go over and he moves quicker and opens the door revealing Jordan. Vinnie looks at me pissed.

"I- Oh, I didn't know you had company," He says.

"I'm not her company, I'm her-"

"Vinnie, Hush," I move him out of the way and Jordan grabs the basket on the ground. He hands it to me.

"I also got you flowers," He says.

"Thanks Jordan," I say he smiles and nods.

"Is this why we can't be together? You're going to chose him?" Vinnie says.

"We can't be together even if we wanted too!" He looks at me and bites his lip.

"Yes we can, You just don't want too,"

"Vinnie, You are getting married in a week! What the fuck do you expect from me! You keep popping up saying you love me and doing shit, but you have a whole other female you love and are engaged too!" I say.

"Fuck this!" He says and leaves. I close my eyes and put my hands on my face.

"Ugh!" I yell. Jordan hugs me and I hear Kenzie's little footsteps along with Milo's. I look up and see Kenzie standing there rubbing her eyes.

"What's wrong mommy?" She asks.

"Nothings wrong baby," I say.

"I heard you yell," she says.

"Oh I stubbed my toe," I say she looks over.

"Jordan!" She says running down the stairs to him.

"Honey, you need to sleep, you have school tomorrow," she huffs and continues hugging Jordan.

"I can take her up," he says I nod and close my laptop and sit back on the couch. After at least 10 minutes Jordan comes back down.

"Thank you," I say he nods and sits.

"Your welcome," he says. He leaves and I go to my room. I lay in my bed thinking until I eventually fell asleep.
