Kenji P.O.V.

Killua was standing in fear with his taller brother towering over him.

"I heard you stabbed mom and Milluki.  Mom couldn't stop crying." Illumi said with no emotion

"Well who wouldn't cry?!  Any mom would cry if their son stabbed them!" Leorio said

"She was just so happy that you had grown up."

Leorio deadpanned

"But she was concerned about you being alone so she sent me to check up on you when ever I had the chance.  Lucky me huh.  I had no idea you wanted to be a hunter Kill.  As for me I needed the license for a upcoming job."

"I don't actually want to become a hunter I just felt like taking the exam..." Killua said in a shaky voice

“Good because you are not cut out to be a hunter Kill.  You were born for one purpose...to be a assassin.  Your a puppet of darkness devoid of passion.  There is nothing you desire or wish for.  The only pleasure you feel is when you kill someone because that is how dad and I raised you."

"Your right, but eveyone wants something."

"You don't" Illumi said staring down his younger brother

"I DO!" Killua yelled clenching his fist

"You don't"

"Your wrong there is something I really want!"

"Then tell me what it is?"

Killua put his head down and looked scared.

"There really is nothing is there."

"THERE IS....I wanna be friends with Kenji and Gon.  I-I'm just so sick of killing people.  I wanna be friends with Gon and Kenji...I wanna live a normal life." He said

In that moment I felt something in me.  It was an amazing feeling.  I wanted to protect Killua.  I wanted to protect them all with my life. 

"I want to protect him?" I said mumbled my breath

"Impo-" Illumi was cut of by me

"You say he is devoid of passion?  You are the person who has no passion.  Killua can do what ever he wants with his life, and does not need you in it.  All you're doing is making his suffer.  I will kill you myself if I need to.  I don't need to pass this exam, and you heard Killua yourself.   He came here for fun.  We can always retake the exam so there is nothing stoping me from killing you." I said poker faced

'Lie.  I need to pass this exam so I can find who ever killed my love ones' I thought

"I see...Fighting you would be a problem, and I need to live to pass the exam..."

"Your right you do so I suggest you shut up."

"I see, but I may as well wrap this up.  Killua when I touch you that means the fight has began.  If you move that means the fight has began."

Illumi moved his arm closer and closer toward Killua which caused Killua to be more afraid.

'I don't want to give, but I-I can't fight him.  I don't want to dissapoint everyone especially....Kenji' Killua thought

But things don't always go peoples way, and that is no exception for Killua.

"I-I give up..." Killua said a shadow casted on his face from is hair

"Oh perfect no need for us to fight huh?  I was just testing your judgement." (I know I doesn't make any sense but just go with it ;))

Killuas' face made no expression as he walked back to the side.  I looked over to him, and his eyes were empty, filled with nothing.  Time passed quickly.  I payed no attention to the other matches as thoughts of Killua's well being went through my head. 

When it was Leorio's match Killua vanished and killed Leorio's opponent.  I only walked over ready to leave with Killua.  As Killua walked out I heard a voice call my name.

"Kenji.  If you leave now you fail the exam." The chairman said

"I never needed to pass anyway..." I said as I walked out

'Dammit.  I really needed a license, but I have to help Killua.  Even if he goes off, and leaves me'

'I have a strong feeling that I will meet you again Kenji...' Netero thought

I sprinted after Killua who had gone farther than expected.

'Killua'

I wanted to say something, but I had no Idea what to say so I came up with something small.

"Killua where are you heading?"

He didn't respond.

"Oh come on tell me where your heading Killua~"

'Will that work' I thought

It seemed to work because he looked away leting out a small grunt.

"Back home." He said poker faced

"So that means I get to meet your family?" I asked

"Ya I guess, but don't you try anything okay?  I don't want you to get hurt."

I felt my face heat up a little but Ignored it for now.

"Ya ya I get it~" I said smiling

"Hey Kenji thanks for you know"

"No I don't know.  What is it?" I said smirking

"Standing up for me with my brother.  It has been a long time since someone really cared for me like that."

"Killua I am glad I got to know you." I said as my face softened

"Hey don't say it so casually like that!"

"What are you embarrassed?" I said getting closer to his face

"EH-What are you so close?!" He asked

"You're so much fun to mess with!" I said laughing

"HEY!" He screamed

I only laughed harder.

'Killua you really do make me happy.  I am so happy that I met you in this lifetime.'
