Your POV

"We're going ahead." A voice that sounded like Floch said through the door.

"That voice... Floch must've come." Armin noticed, looked at the door and back at Eren.

"Yeah." Eren replied. The blood stained the tablecloth. My hands were both on the table, like what Eren wanted. "I just wanted to talk. Conflict isn't necessary to solve Eldia's problems." Eren said. "Hange and the others are fine. We're just moving them." Eren explained.

"Eren... we're the ones who wanted to talk." Armin leaned in to the table. "What made you attack Marley all on your own? Did Zeke and Yelena really talk you into joining them?"

We waited for a response, but he just stayed silent for a while. "Eren...?" I tried to get his attention.

"I am free."

I hummed in confusion, along with Armin and Mikasa. "The things I do and choices I make are all decided by my own free will."

"So your actions after meeting Yelena were all you?" Armin questioned him. "Yes." Eren replied calmly.

"No, you're being manipulated!" Eren shifted his eyes towards Mikasa. "You wouldn't get kids and innocents involved, even if they were enemies! Plus, I know you care about us mroe than anyone!" Eren didn't react to Mikasa's statement. "Don't you? The reason you saved me in the cabin... The reason you gave me this scarf... is because you're kind-"

"I said, 'keep your hands on the table.'"

Mikasa did as he said, and sat down. "I spoke with Zeke in Liberio, brother to brother. Zeke knows more about Titans than even Marley does." He paused.

"Armin, aren't you still visiting Annie?" He asked. A frown rose on my lips as I looked down at the table. "Do you think that's your own free will?"

"Wh-What?" He muttered with his wide blue eyes.

"If memories are what shape people, a part of you is Bertholdt now. Within you is an enemy with feelings for another enemy. But do you wanna know what was there before?" Eren asked, pausing for a few seconds.

"It was Y/n, right?"

I looked up with a shocked face. "What?" I said in confusion and shock. Armin had something for me?

"You told me. When we were fighting Rod Reiss, you were looking at Y/n who was just putting a barrel on the stack. What was so... interesting about that?"

Armin looked down at his hands, not replying. "She's protected you, and what do you do? Fall for another woman. Wanna know why she protects you?"

"Eren, what are you-" I tried to speak. "Because it's not her free will."

Confusion went to my face. "Wh..." I muttered as stared at the table at the verge of crying.

"Armin... Bertholdt has gotten to your head." Eren finished. "Your feelings have been manipulated by the enemy."

"Eren! What are-" Mikasa spoke before getting cut off by Eren. "I met your Uncle in Marley." Eren said. I looked up at him as he looked back at me.

"You're just like the Ackermanns. You protect people, like Mikasa and Armin. I remember, you said that you'll risk your life for anyone. Even if it means dying. Your Uncle calls it Ellison Vigor."

"That's- That's not..." I struggled to say something, tears forming in my eyes.

"Eren, stop." Armin said, leaning into the table.
