• Short because I wanna end this part with a cliffhanger😏
Your POV
I finished putting on my vertical maneuvering gear and put my mom's jacket on top. Every time I looked at the jacket, all I can think about is her. Anyway, enough with the old sad souvenir shit.
"We'll us the power of all our Titans as well as all of your weapons to do that. Okay?" Annie stated. We all stood there in thought.
"Hey, wait a second." Connie spoke.
"Why?" Annie questioned.
"An indiscriminate attack on the harbor will even cause the Azumabito to get caught in the crossfire." Mikasa said, us all agreeing.
"You might call them distant relatives, but to us they're enemies who attacked our homeland." Annie said. Behind her, Pieck walked towards us.
"No, it'll be a problem if we let the Azumabito die, Annie. Isn't that right?" Pieck said.
"Precisely. I should be able to pilot the flying boat on my own But without the Azumabito's mechanics, it's nothing more than a wingless ship." Onyankopon said. "It's wings are folded so that it's easier to haul on the seas. Of course, it will take more for it to fly than simply extending those wings. My understanding is that the plan was for it to be operable only after taking it into hangar, performing a service inspection, and conducting flight training."
"About how long would that take..?" Reiner asked worryingly.
"I do not know." Onyankopon replied. "It is up to the Azumabito.
"I see..." Annie understood. "So. We need to protect the flying boat and the Azumabito while also buying enough time for the ship to be serviced. But also..." She paused. "You don't want to kill any of the Jaegerists who will try to stop us from doing that. Is that what you're telling me?"
"No, I don't want to kill them. We've known some since the training corps." Jean stated a true statement.
"So? What're we going to do? How exactly are we going to keep any harm coming to the flying boat and Azumabito while not turning any of out attackers into casualties as we buy time for the ship to be serviced?" Annie looked at Armin.
"Tell me, Armin. Tell me your big plan just like you did when you drove me into a corner." Annie asked. In reality, we really didn't have a plan whatsoever.
"That plan doesn't exist. Either we settle in this in one go or we mess up and lose the flying boat." Pieck said.
"Wait..." Connie muttered. "You know we're here to save people, right?! Why are you making it sound like we have to slaughter these people on the island?! How did it turn into this?!"
"You're right." Annie sighed, "None of you ever had an obligation to do this with us. We don't have any right to force you to make this choice, either. I bet if it was up to you, you never would have destroyed the walls that day. Unlike us."
"You five don't need to fight." Reiner says, making us turn towards him. "Stay with Gabi and Falco. Watch from a safe location. You'll be forced to make a decision whether you want to or not if the Jaegerists find you. But don't interfere."
I looked down at the floor. "So you just want us to watch you kill each other?" Connie asked.
"I'm not interested in acting as a spectator here. We've already killed four Jaegerists, anyway." Hange looked back at us. "Most of all, time is running out for humanity."
"I could see the titans moving from the shore. Judging by their speed, they've already arrived on Marley. Marley's cities to the northeast, the ones closest to us, must have been annihilated. I didn't think they'd cross the ocean this fast. In other words, the other continents don't have long either. Who knows how many have been killed already?"
Magath slammed Yelena on a slope. "Tell me where Eren Jaeger is. Every time you don't tell me, you're discovering a new direction your arm can move in." He released his hand. "Don't be scared. I won't kill you.
"That's a relief." Yelena panted. "I've changed my mind. I don't want to die until I at least see what happens here. Take me with you and I might just tell you were Eren went."
Hange put a hand on his shoulder. "We need to secure the flying boat first."
"Connie. Armin. Mikasa. Jean. Y/n. I want to apologize for my behavior last night. We were mistaken."
~
Armin and Connie rode on horses to the port, while Mikasa and the others help out the Azumabito. Reiner, Annie, and I transformed behind Floch. I spawned one of my strong vines and swung in in the Jaegerists direction, whipping out numerous of them with Annie and Reiner.
About ten or more Jaegerists swarmed me. I kicked one of the buildings were a few of them were but they flew. I decided to do something Reiner taught me in our training. I swung my vine in circles, whipping up only a few. I didn't have enough energy to spawn a new one, so I had to use combat.
Mikasa landed on my hair. "Hey, Y/n! Change of plans! We're leaving by the ship and servicing on the continent! Help Annie cover them as the aboard!" I nodded as she jumped off.
A thunder spear was sent off towards the Azumabito's direction so I put arm in front of them, blowing my arm up in result. Annie and I turned around, seeing numerous thunder spears heading in our direction. Reiner stepped in front of us, getting thunder spears in his face. They started shooting more thunder spears than I expected. A huge wave of them cam towards Reiner and Annie, who were already blown. I stepped in front of them, getting blown myself.
Nobody's POV
Annie and Reiner were conscious, but the blast that Y/n took for Reiner and Annie took her out almost completely. After boarding the ship, Armin and Y/n were the most severely injured ones.
Hange said that there were heading to Odiha, but it was the only choice. Annie being left devastated, she didn't have a reason to keep fighting and fell on the floor, thinking of her father.
"I don't wanna fight anymore. I don't want to have to be prepared to kill you all again." Annie said, Connie helping Armin walk to where everyone is.
Your POV
It was sunset. It's been a few hours since the fight at the harbor happened. From what I heard from Mikasa, Armin and I were the most injured from what we looked like. Apparently, I lost my right arm, but it grew back, somehow not damaging my jacket.
I was left outside since the Nature Titan's healing proceeds faster in sunlight.
Sitting with my back against the wall and hugging my knees to my chest, I looked up at the sky. I could barely remember anything that happened at least three minutes prior to me fainting.
Armin's POV
My mouth fully healed, and so did my stomach. I decided to get some fresh air from being inside most of the time.
Walking outside on the boat, I felt something nearby. It was a very peaceful aura, which I only knew one person who was able to produce that kind of aura. I looked over the corner and saw Y/n, who was still healing a bit, but it wasn't serious. We haven't had a fully civilized conversation in a while, ever since that table scene that happened at the restaurant.
She looked over and we made eye contact. I didn't realize I was staring at her for sometime before she looked at me.
"Do you need anything, Armin?
