Chapter 27 ; Agony

Soyeon was patiently waiting for Soojin as she keeps her senses alert as possible since they don't know when will be the assigned file keeper would comeback.

Folder by folder, Soojin tried on searching for Shuhua's application for the university but she doesn't know why she can't find it.

Her father told her that her grandfather and sister were both murdered a year ago so that means Shuhua was already here at that time.

Shuhua is a second year student so she's probably here for two years now and even though she's a time mage she still can't manipulate the time.

Soojin was startled when she felt a hand on her shoulder. "Crouch down someone is inside." Soyeon whispered as Soojin placed the foldee back not trying to make any noise as possible.

"Finally you're back." Soyeon and Soojin were both leaning on the wall listening to the conversation. "Yeah but I still need to stop by to Mr. Yeh's office. He said that this was urgent and I also need to deliver the news to him." Soojin furrowed her eyebrows.

The tone of the person was somewhat solemn which confuses her.

All of them were seated at the dining hall and Shuhua's seat was empty again. "Where could that girl be?" Yuqi mumbled to herself but Nicha heard it.

"I haven't seen her since I came back." Nicha commented earning a heavy sigh from Yuqi.

Soyeon and Soojin's seats were also empty.

The wooden doors opened revealing Soojin and Soyeon who were panting. The two managed to get out without being caught but they have to run or else they'll never make it to dinner.

Miyeon waved her hands greeting the two.

"The Principal is going to held a meeting later after dinner." those words caught Yuqi's attention. "Why would we be having a meeting at this kind of hour?" The other professors were talking to each other as they pass by their table.

Yuqi stood up not even finishing her food. "Where are you going?" Soyeon held onto the younger ones hand tightly. "I'll be back, I just have to do something." there wasn't any emotion on her face at all.

Soyeon let go of the younger's hand as she watches the girl walk away leaving the dining hall.

S H U H U A -

I wiped my tears away as I continue to put my things inside my bag. After I heard about it. I couldn't help but to think about the days that I've been with her.

I wished I was by her side until her last breath.

I should be but I wasn't.

I zipped it, securing my things. Standing up I glance at my bed. It was very neat like no one have used it.

Opening the door. "Why are you carrying your bag Yeh Shuhua?" those eyes were cheerful but tonight they were dark and full of seriousness.

I feel like I'm going to be interrogated before I go then.

"Do you some coffee or tea?" I ask giving her a smile but the smile on my face faltered when a lone tear escaped from Yuqi's eye.

"Are you planning on running away again?" I felt a pang on my chest as she sais those words. Yuqi I am not going to run away, I'm going to go back and fix everything.

But I can't say it.

"Well yes." I simply said but I felt myself being thrown on the floor. I don't care if my back hurts like hell all I want is to stop dragging everyone with me.

This was my problem in the first place. If I haven't runaway from home and just accepted my responsibility things won't end like this.

Soojin wouldn't hate me. Her grandfather and sister would still be alive and I would be by my grandmother's side.

Taiwan would be at peace if I should've accept my fate.

"You're going to leave Soojin unnie without fixing this?" my jaw hurts like hell as I receive every punch from her. Her tears were flowing and dripping in my face.

"I am, now can you please let go of me." I calmly said. She got off of me as I stood up not minding my bleeding lips and bruised face.

I closed the door leaving Yuqi inside my room as I let my tears flow down my cheeks.

I want to do this alone and I'm going to fix this alone.

"I'm sorry."

Shuhua was staring deeply outside the window as she waits for her uncle to arrive.

She knows that the meeting is already done by now. "Are you ready to go back?" Shuhua took a deep breath as she faces her uncle. "If it means fixing everything then I am ready. I will not let my father ruin the place where I grew up." Shuhua seriously stated.

"I've already informed the professors about your disappearance. I will be following you back home in a few weeks. Did you tell Yuqi that you're coming back to Taiwan?" by the look on Shuhua's face he knee the girl didy said anything to Yuqi.

"I just said that I'm going to fix this though." Shuhua sat down.

"And besides I've already left something for them. I just hope that they will have a time to open it." Shuhua added.

"The carriage will be here later when everyone is already asleep."

Few hours ago...

"Come in." Yeh Liam was seated on his chair as he waits for what the person has to say.

"This was all that I got and Mr. Yeh, I found out that your mother died two days ago from an illness." Liam's world came falling apart but he was more than worried for what Shuhua would feel.

He could say that Shuhua was her mother's favorite and he knows it will be a lot to process for the girl.

Shuhua is already un dilemma with how Soojin is treating her and now he has to tell the news to Shuhua.

He witnessed how Shuhua cried her eyes out. Shuhua was devastated.

But Liam was more surprised to hear those words from the younger.

"I'm going back."
