Horimiya One-Shots.

|5| Late night.

The loud chime of the shop rang which I paid no mind whatsoever since whoever entered really was none of my business.

"I never saw you as someone to smoke." The sudden voice of a man made me fumble on my hands, the cigarette on my mouth had been spat out. I could only look at it as I thought 'what a waste.'

"What a waste." Hm, I turned my eyes to see my company's executive manager. My pupils had widened as I saw who it was.

"Yanagi-kun what brings you here." I turned my head left and right before giving him a bow. We were currently at a secluded bar nearby our office and the day was at it's end.

"I'm actually a regular here Sakura." His eyes held a mischevous glint as he said those words. A slight blush was seeping into my cheeks, I was starting to curse my luck till I heard his words. I had no choice but to meet him here anyway after all if that was the case. Work was really stressful this week,  a whole pile of work was brought to me all of a sudden by my colleagues and was brought here by chance as someone had told me to come by this bar if I had suddenly felt like resting for a while after work. Still I had never expected someone like Yanagi would come here since he seemed so docile and nice everytime I saw him in the office. I turned my head to take a glance at him to find him staring at me shamelessly not even averting his eyes when he same me taking a look at me. Suddenly feeling self-conscious I hid a loose strand of my hair behind my ear.

"So, what brought you here." He spoke  lightly as he held his hand up which apparently was some sign for the bartender because soon after he had a drink handed to him.

"Someone had told me about this place and now here I am." I tried to laugh my embarrassment away but I felt my face heat up even more when he made no such reaction.

"What about?" I was confused about what he had meant this time till I followed his gaze.

"About that I-it's actually my first attempt at smoking since I heard that it could help with destressing."

His eyes curved into a smile as he heard my words. "Is that so? Well, was it effective?"

"No, It actually made me regret ever holding a cigarette and attempting to smoke even when I knew all the health risks it had along with the fact that cigarettes don't really help and rather makes things worse." I unintentionally gave him a business smile after my explanation.

He casually took a sip of his drink and gave me an amused smile. "Hey Sakura you're really serious huh."

"I'm pretty much told by almost every person I meet that."
"Isn't that interesting then."

"Yanagi-kun how did you find this place?" He loosened his tie a bit as he looked up, seemingly in his own thoughts.

"This place is nearby a bakery my friend's family owns and I was always curious about this place, it just so happened that my workplace is near so I decided to check this place out, never got to leave this place alone afterwards."

"I see Yana-"Akane, please term to me as Akane since we are pretty close now aren't we Sakura?" I was stopped short at my words. I forgot what I was about to say as Yanagi gave me a bright smile. I took a look at my watch before standing up.

"I'll be leaving then since It's pretty much early morning already."
"See you Sakura, mind to drink with me next time?"
"See you Akane, I'd gladly take you up on your offer soon too."

The wind chime made a loud obnoxious ringing sound as I left the shop. My breath was visibly seen as I let out a sigh. The winter cold air was as as warm as ever I thought jokingly.
