Flowers bloomed in the sky. Fireworks. They're still as pretty and colourful as ever. I approached Yanagi as he seemed lonely looking at the fireworks with no one beside him.
"They look good together" was what he said before turning to me.
"You're wearing contacts today?"
"Yea I tried it out but it might just not be for me" we had a hearty laugh together as we soon silently watched the fireworks till the end together.
"So much for high school sweethearts aaaaggghh!" I raised my voice a little and a few people took a glance our way as I hid behind Yanagi's back.
I felt a pat in my head as he turned around. His eyes were gentle and the volume of laugh was low. The fireworks ended and we decided to end our group outing.
"Sakura I'll walk you home." Yanagi had obviously ran as he breathed heavily for a while.
"Sure, thank you." I politely replied.
"You didn't have to though."
"Tsk, tsk, tsk it's quite dark already and you're a girl, it's not safe to go through the alley of our neighborhood at this time." He scolded seriously but it seemed like a cute excuse in my eyes.
"Thank you thank you my hero." I teased him.
"Aah I'm not a hero." He shrugged his eyebrows scrunched as he smiled.
While walking our shoulders bumped for a while and we exchanged our apologies. I felt the presence beside me leave so I turned around to see him frozen behind me a few steps back and gave him a confused look. He boldly walked forward and took my hand in his.
"I'll be able to watch over you better like this right." His whispered. The act made me nervous but I didn't pull my hand back.It felt both short and long, the moment he let go of my hand I bowed my head at him, thanked and told him to be safe before trying to calmly walk and enter my home.A ping notified me that a message has come.
'What's with that..'
