John's heart was filled with happiness and by the cheers that erupted around him, he could tell how happy his people and the other kingdoms were as well.
By the time dawn settled in everyone was dancing and chatting/Introducing themselves to new people. All but John, who's mind was swarming with questions. He was getting more questions than answers and that irritated him a lot.
John took his queen by the hand and led her into a private room.
"What else are you hiding from me?" John questioned Isabella suspiciously.
"It was not my secret to tell John, Our kingdom is saved! Please drop it, okay?"
"What else are you hiding Isabella?!" John demanded.
"I can not tell you that for it is our kingdoms/My family's secrets that protects us!" Isabella Argued.
"How can you say that?? I am your king, your husband! You are my wife so would you not trust me?" John felt hurt. Isabella's heart fell at his expression and the way his voice had cracked.
She was about to open up and tell him the truth behind her kingdom's secrets until her brother walked in. Isabella became silent. Her body tensed in realisation as to what she had nearly done.
"The great king of the East! The man who won my dear sisters heart! It is good to finally meet you." Said the King of the south, brother of Isabella.
John chuckled, "You can call me John! Great to meet you as well my king!"
"Ah, since I am allowed to call you John, why should you address me so formally? Call me Thomas.
"Well, um, there is a question i must ask you...," John dragged.
"The dragon?" Thomas grinned as John nodded.
"Ah, it would have been my absolute pleasure to explain all of this to you, but unfortunately dear John... It is our kingdom's secret. You should be grateful for the help we all have given you. Sometimes some things are better left unanswered."
John sighed in irritation, he had expected that response. A clever idea had popped up into his head though. An idea that may possibly get him the answers he wants.
"That is okay, I completely understand." John responded forcefully.
John later that night kept a private feast to celebrate the victory they had accomplished today. He had asked the king of the south, King Thomas, to stay with him--John-- and his sister--Isabella and eat with him, for it was the first time he had met the king of the south in person and he intended to grow a bond.
"My king," John addressed Thomas, capturing his attention. "You can take the seat on my left near me, as my queen on my right." King Thomas nodded in agreement. "And do have fun!" As John began conversing with his wife Thomas studied him.
'Does he really think that I am a fool?' Thomas thought. He knew what John was planning. He wanted to get him utterly drunk! So drunk that he'd sputter out his kingdom's secret, but it would not work. Instead of confronting him he played along.
Hours passed and as John tried getting the truth out from him, Thomas would swiftly dodge the topic. Feeling utterly frustrated John thought of a new plan.
He got up to gather a few beautiful females together. "You can choose any one of these young women! All if you want! Just please..." John tried. Thomas laughed and respectfully declined. "I am not going to fall for your t--" King Thomas became utterly tongue tied when his eyes landed on an absolutely stunning woman who strolled through the doors. She waltzed towards them in confidence. Her yellow dress complimented her melanin skin tone perfectly. Her natural pink full lips formed into a shy smile as she noticed his intense gaze. Her eyes met him and he felt as if someone knocked the air right off from his lungs.
