The Legend Of Korra Book 5: Rebellion

---Asami's POV---

Asami split from Korra and waited for a taxi on the street curb. She was going to Future Industries Tower to work out some changes for the city. Soon, a yellow, shiny taxi pulled up to the curb.

"Would ya like a ride," called the driver.

"Yes," she declared, opening the car door and hopping in. Asami gazed out the window looking at all the destruction.

"So... Where to?" asked the driver.

"Future Industries Tower." She answered. Eyeing the spirit vines and broken buildings.

"Oh! You must be Asami Sato!" He exclaimed. "Good luck!"

"Yep, thanks for the ride! Um... Five... ten... here." She handed him some money.

We slowly pulled up at base of the tower, and she stepped out. Now it has been a month since Kuvira had been stopped, and the streets were bustling with people. She immediately recognized Varrick, the businessman that had bought out her company.

"Hey Asami!" Shouted Varrick. Asami slowly approached Varrick, determination glowing in her eyes.

"Hi, how are you?" she asked.

"No, how are you!" He asked getting in Asami's face. She stepped back.

"Fine." She answered.

"Great, now come upstairs. We have it all set out for you." He added, winking.

"We?" Asami thought aloud.

As we approached the main floor, it was bustling with people. A familiar face caught my eye, Baatar Jr., Suyin's oldest son. He nodded at Varrick and slipped through two women having a conversation.

"Hello Baatar. Isn't it nice to see you?" Varrick put in.

Baatar sighed, rolling his eyes at Varrick,"You too." He added sarcastically. Asami put her hand up like she was going to say something, but it never came out. Baatar looked like he hasn't slept in days.

"I feel so bad." she thought silently.

" So, let's get down to business." declared Varrick, elbowing Baatar in the stomach. Baatar eyed Varrick, and sighed again.

"Baatar, do the thing!" announced Varrick. Asami rolled her eyes.

"Let's go to Asami's office." Ordered Baatar.

"Okay." Varrick put in. Varrick skipped around the corner, grabbing a cup of water from the sink and putting ice in it. "Let's go." He declared.

We all trudged up the long red staircase. Soon, we came to Asami's office, it was overlooking the whole city.

"So, Raiko said we are in charge of rebuilding the city." Shouted Varrick, setting down his water. "Now what are we gonna do?" Asami, Varrick, and Baatar exchanged glances.

"I say we get all the names of the places that need helping and slowly work up to rebuilding everything." Stated Asami.

"What about you, Baatar? The guy that was involved with destroying this city." Said Varrick.

Baatar eyed Varrick, "Varrick, that's in the past. Forget it."

"What?" Varrick yelled, spitting out his ice water.

"Oh fine, I guess I will help you. You seem like you're in a difficult position..."
