"I don't want your pass or what I did in my pass to keep us from something we might want"

The elevator door opened and Jason walked out and looked around. This place feels so familiar but yet feels so strange. He could feel the eyes of people he didn't recognized staring at him. He could turn around and get back on the elevator, but he promise her. He has broken so many promises, he can't break this one, this one is a simple one. He made his way to the desks to talk to the stranger that was on the computer.
"Hi I'm looking for..."
"Jason", a voice interrupted, "What are you doing here?" asked Monica as she came closer and embraced him, "are you okay?"
"I'm looking for Patrick", Jason said
"Why?", she asked
"I've been having these headaches and Sam's really worried and I promise her"
"Good, I'm glad you're here, but Patricks not in today, I can examine you if you let me"
"No, its okay I can make an appointment, I don't wanna bother you"
"Jason its no bother", she said
"It's nothing personal, Patrick's my doctor, he knows my history, I would just feel more comfortable if he does it"
"Okay, I understand, but can I at least make the appointment for you"
"Sure", said Jason
"I'm really glad to see you", Monica said as she made her way to the computer to make the appointment; "Is tomorrow okay?", she asked
"Yeah, tomorrow is fine, and Monica I'm really glad to see you too", Jason said as he exit the building

The next day Jason showed up at the hospital, Patrick met him at the front desk.
"Jason, I didn't thought you would show", he said
"Yet here I am", replied Jason
Patrick took Jason to an examination room where he did a basic physical exam and asked him questions about his symptoms as he documented his answers.
"I need to order an MRI and some blood work", Patrick said
"What's wrong", Jason asked
"That's what I'm trying to figure out and I just want to make sure everything is good and this is the only way. I know you don't want to do this, but this is what I have to do to make sure you're okay"
"Okay", Jason said
"Ok", said Patrick, "I thought I would have to put up much more of a fight"
"I promise Sam", said Jason
"Ok, wait here and I'll get the paper work done".
"Can I wait outside?", Jason asked
"Ok, Sure, I'll be right back" said Patrick
Jason went and sat outside the waiting area between the elevator and the couch. Even though it was a couple of minutes, it felt like hours because of his hatred for hospitals. He watched as the elevator doors opened and closed and people entered and exited. He was about to get up and go look for Patrick when the elevator door open and Sam and Drew came off the elevator. Sam made a small gesture to Drew letting him know that she would be right back and then she walked over to Jason.
