11: Regrets(Not edited)

Cesaro Mizra

I stare at the pink blazer that lay in the passenger seat of my car. It's been laying there for the past four days. Reina had left it in the kitchen the day she brought me the medicine and soup my father made and have his maid sent over while he hid in his room.

He confessed to me earlier this morning that he even told her he was out of town. He was trying to play cupid, he told me he regretted it after seeing the burn on Reina hand. She had refused to tell him how it happened, but him being Khan Mirza managed to pry the information from her.

He wasn't the only one feeling regret. The way I behaved the other day when she came over might have been a bit inappropriate, considering how caring she was that day and the fact that she even got burned because of me. I didn't even notice because of the mood I was in.

The words I told her that made her upset played over and over in my mind.

Grabbing the blazer and a small gift bag from the back I make my way to the Carmart. This wasn't my idea, I was only supposed to come here and thank her for what she did, but father insisted I bought her something.

I didn't know what I should get her. I always gifted Lydia clothes, shoes or jewelry, so I thought it was best if I asked Mikayla to pick out something for Reina.

I entered the building and was greeted by a man wearing a suit similar to what I am wearing. I recognized him as the Fernandez guy who my father introduced me to at my party not too long ago. He happens to be two years older than I am and owns this company, D.Z motor limited. It was a blooming business that sold different model cars and car parts. From the way father speaks about him I know he thinks highly of him.

"Hello Mr. Mirza it's good seeing you again," he says.

"Cesaro is fine."

He nods. "What brings you here?" He ask eyeing the blazer and the bag with red roses peaking out from it.

"I'm here to see Ms. Reigns." I wasn't in the mood to talk to him, but he was in charge and I wanted to know where I could find Reina. The sooner the better.

I didn't miss the smirk he wore before saying, "Reina didn't tell me she had a boyfriend."

I raise a brow at him. Does he refer to all of his employees by the first name? Not that he had much, I thought as I looked around. There were about five employees here.

"I'm not." I told him, not that it's any of his concern.

Drew, as his name tag say, nods. "Go straight down, it's the glass office on the left. She isn't hard to miss."

I nod and left him behind without another word. He wasn't wrong when he said it's not hard to miss her. She sat around a small metal desk typing away on her computer before writing something in the book she had next to it.

Her curly hair was in a neat updo, she wore a peach outfit. I couldn't tell if it was a blouse or a dress since she was sitting down. I looked down, her long slender legs were covered in shimmery stockings that I don't think is appropriate for work. On her feet she wore white heels, the ones that covered the toes.

She looked just as good as she did four days ago. I swallowed and try to clear the thoughts from my mind as I knock on the glass door.

She looks up from her work and the moment she saw me standing on the other side she went back to work. I roll my eyes in annoyance and open the door letting myself in.

"What do you want?" She ask without looking up at me. She continues to scroll and write as if I wasn't even here.

"I wanted to bring you back your blazer."

She glance at the blazer in my hand before resuming her work. "You could have thrown it out or have your dad bring it back to me. God knows I would rather see his face than yours."

I try to gather my emotions, but Reina continues.

"Listen I came here to apologize and give you a peace offering as my thanks for what you did for me the other night, can you just take it and shut the fück up?!"

She stop talking and got up from her chair with such speed that shocked me. I realized then that she was wearing a dress that fit her body like the stocking she worn. Reina grab her blazer and the gift bag.

She took the bouquet of roses out of the bag and studied them with a look that showed she wasn't please.

"If it was plastic then I would probably keep them."

I watch as she walk over to the dust bin and toss them in. She remove the heart shaped box from the bag that was filled with different kinds of cookies. I didn't like that it was shaped like a heart, but I couldn't return it.

She look at me with amuse written all over her face. "Awe, this is cute Cesaro. This I will keep."

I couldn't tell if she was being sincere or just her usual bitchy self. The good part was that instead of tossing it she placed it on her desk along with her blazer.

"Was that it?" She ask brushing her fingers through the loose part of her hair. That's when I realized that there was a small burn mark on her hand. I felt guilty.

I stood with my hands in my pant pockets. "How's your hand?"

She looks at her hand then back at me. A strange look made its way on her face before she decided to answer.

"I've had worst."

That only made me curious and it didn't answer my question. I was about to ask her about it again when she spoke.

"If that was all, mighty Cesaro, then I suggest you get going. I have work to resume and even though my boss is much more nicer and better looking than the last I don't want to get on his bad side so..."

I glare at her. I know she was only trying to get back at me for what I said to her the other night. Her boss wasn't better looking, probably nicer, but not better looking.

Reina smiles sweetly at me as I turn to leave.

"Bye honey!" I heard her call out as I stroll pass her boss who was standing at the office door looking as if he was getting ready to knock.
