14: Lust

Cesaro Mirza

This is a waste of time, I have better things to do. I don't need to socialize with anyone despite what my father keeps saying. That man is too damn controlling. I stood with my hands in my pockets looking down at the people dancing below. I will never understand why people like them find this kind of behaviour fun. This part of the club was the best part, a secluded sound proof section. I have my own little bar despite the fact that I don't drink much.

Two bodyguards stood behind me since it was wise for me to have protection with a status like mine. The truth was I need to get away from all of this soon, just some time to regenerate. My breakup with Lydia was starting to get to me, she was the only companion I had, that and the workload.

I kept looking at the people grinding their sweaty and disgusting bodies against each other. In the crowd I recognize Ms. Kumar; the annoying woman who bluntly has a crush on me, one I choose to ignore. She was the one who put the idea of this club in my father's head and they both executed their plan of making me the owner of Chills. Ms. Kumar didn't seem like the partying type. Just when I was about to divert my attention elsewhere I realized that she was dancing with two other women. One of them being the woman who tossed the roses I gave her in her trash can, earlier.

My eyes widened at what Reina was wearing even though it shouldn't have been a surprise. It was obvious that she is confident and comfortable in her body and it was her choice to choose what she wanted to wear without having to be judged by anyone. She moved her body to the beat of the music, basically seducing everyone who watched her. She looked different from the woman whose office I stormed out of earlier.

Reina seemed at ease, like there was a truck load weighing her down, but it was now removed. She runs her fingers through her curls that she does not wear often. She dances as if she was the main character in a music video and I must admit that she is good. Suddenly she stopped dancing. I watch as she turns to Ms. Kumar and the other strange woman. She said something to them before they started walking towards the exit. I wonder why they were leaving so suddenly. Before they had the chance to make it far a hand reached out and grabbed Reina's neck harshly. My anger grew as I realized that it was her ex who tried to glare me to death a few nights ago.

"There's a problem," I say, going over to the door to pull it open. The damn thing did not budge.

"What is the problem sir?" One of the idiotic bodyguards asked.

"This damn door is my problem!" Instead of waiting for them to get the door open I break the handle off using one of the stools.

Before I could get to Reina someone bumped into me. "Oh, thank God you're here Cesaro . Reina is in trouble. I was just going to get one of the bouncers." I push pass Ms. Kumar.

By the time I got to Reina, her friend and other women close by were screaming because of the scene. The music was now off and Reina stood shaking. The sight of blood running down her chin made me furious, but before I could beat the living shit out of the bastard Reina beat me to it. The asshole was there apologizing and in the blink of an eye Reina grabbed a liquor bottle from a waiter who stood watching and slammed it against his head. The blow was so hard that he fell over on his back unconscious. The people around me gasp. They should be ashamed of themselves.

A woman needed help and instead of helping, these useless men stood around just watching. Fucking pathetic excuses for men.

"Throw him out!" I yell at the bodyguards. They seemed useless as well, who the hell even hired them? Even though the people who watched blatantly saw that Reina was more than capable of handling herself without the need of a man's help.
