Chapter Ten - Happy

I opened my eyes, I was still really tired. I see James, his eyes were still shut. His curly hair was everywhere, I can't remember what we mostly talked about last night. I tried to get up but I was stuck. I slowly took off the blanket, oh course I was stuck! James arms were wrapped around my waist. I tried to remove his hands but it didn't work. I looked over at his eyes, but they were staring at me. "James!" Aunt Beth's voice boomed. "Stay down." James whispered as he sat up." Yes Mrs.Beth?" He looked so sleepy. He still kept his hands around my waist" I have to go to the store but I'll be back. Could you do me a favor?" She asked, "yes." James replied messing up his hair. "Keep an eye on Krissy she is still not warming up to us yet and that scares me." Aunt beth as voice got a little wavy. " I'll keep an eye on her." James said smirking then the barn door was closed. James looked over at me and we both start laughing. James layed back down. His eyes were fix on me," we're just friends right?" James said brushing my hair behind my ears, "r-right." I wanted to say no but if he wanted this like this then I'm good. I sat up and so did he. "Thanks for the slubber party." I said climbing down the ladder. Yes, didn't fall! I reached the barn door but before I left I looked back. He was still looking at me with that amazing sleepy smile, I walked out the door.

I walked all the way back to my room. I call this the walk of shame. I got dressed in a brown shirt with a pink design on the side. I put on blue jeans and brown boots. My hair was all matted up so I had to brush it. I don't have time for this! Or maybe I can have a life now that I'm away from my mom. A loud nock boomed through my room. Yay maybe James changed his mind. I opened the door with a smile on my face but it was Cassie. "What is wrong with you!" I'm guessing that wasn't a question so I let her ramble on. "You're
allowing James to cheat!" She looked very mad but so did I. "You should know that pretty well. James is not your property so stop acting like he is!" I was almost yelling! "Good for you!" Cassie had an evil look in her eyes, "but let me guess he asked you to be his friend?" I looked away as I heard her laugh. "That's what I though." she said walking over to me,"he will never get over me." She smiles and walks out the door. But sadly I know she is right.
