Chapter 1: A New Era

Zach's POV

So, here I am. At age 17, I became the youngest person to ever become the Zodiac leader. But me being the teenager I am, I distanced myself from my team during courses. Why? I joined the computer science course while everyone else joined biology. That's a shame. Mr. Tan, who is now principal, went up to me while I was making a code.

Mr. Tan: Hey Zach.

Zach: Hi.

Mr. Tan: Where's your team?

Zach: Biology.

Mr. Tan: Why didn't you join them?

Zach: My computer hacking and coding skills has brought me here so I can't join them in biology anymore.

Mr. Tan: That's a shame. I've got good news for you.

Zach: Cool, what is it?

Mr. Tan took out his tablet to show me that I'm going to get new heroes. From many different courses, asides from the biology course of course. I looked through the images and they all seemed to be qualified heroes.

Zach: Wow, that's a lot of courses.

Mr. Tan: Yeah, there are many more heroes asides from the biology course. This is the oldest and is a 3rd year, Wilbur. He's from the geography course.

Zach: That's nice. Who's the youngest?

Mr. Tan: Tommy, he's an orphan.

Zach: Like me.

Mr. Tan: But he, along with Toby were adopted by Wilbur.

Zach: That's nice, where's the mum?

Mr. Tan: Wilbur is a single dad, Zach. We dunno who'll be the mother.

Zach: Oh.

Mr. Tan: But actually, he's the youngest of all the official replacements. The youngest of the group is Jenna.

Zach: Jenna?

Mr. Tan: She's also an orphan but a professor in the University of Auckland and the University of Sydney adopted her.

Zach: Prof. Anderson.

Mr. Tan: That's right, however, she won't have Gabbie's powers though.

Zach: Really?

Mr. Tan: Yeah. Anyways, later, at 10 am, we'll have an anointing ceremony where you'll officially give these heroes their new title in the Zodiac heroes.

Zach: That would be nice.

Mr. Tan: Don't be late. Oh and tell your teammates too.

Zach: Okay.

I took out my phone and texted my teammates that we'll have an anointing ceremony at 10 am. I continued coding until I could visit my team in the biology room. Even my boyfriend.

Zach: Hey guys.

Ryan L: Oh my god, hi Zach. How's computer science?

Zach: It's cool, I've just improved my hacking and coding skills. And, I can invent too.

Josh: Wow, that's nice.

Lavender: So what will you invent?

Zach: I'll make a fingerless glove for those who have metal and crystal-based powers. And a belt to contain spare metal and crystal.

Lavender: Awesome!

Cooper: Wow, Lavender really likes it, huh?

Zach: She can already manipulate crystals. At only 1-year-old. She's a genius. I'm still working on them cuz we'll have new members in our team so I need to check their glove size.
