Season 1: 1# It's Been A While

Zach's POV

We finally met Brad, one of the old Zodiac heroes and the former leader. After graduation, he became a doctor here in this hospital probably treating patients. He seems to be a lot different ever since he graduated and departed. I hope he still keeps his powers afterwards.

Zach: Brad, hey.

Dr. Simpson: Hi Zach.

Zach: It has been a while and I could barely recognise you. How are you?

Dr. Simpson: I've been good. I'm currently treating patients with chronic and terminal illnesses. Oh and I'm married now.

Tommy: With Dr. Ball, right?

Dr. Simpson: Yup. Also, I'm off oxygen which is why I don't have my nasal cannula. Unless I'm off work.

Toby: You have cystic fibrosis?

Dr. Simpson: Yup. Oh and I also have healing powers which is why I can heal myself whenever I have an infection. It got to the point where I'm immune.

Tommy: That's cool.

Zach: Well, we can't stay any longer. Tommy has to prepare for a duel.

Dr. Simpson: A duel? With who?

Tommy: Dream.

Dr. Simpson: Who is he?

Zach: A rare and dangerous green dark spirit who wears a white mask. Even in his human form.

Dr. Simpson: That doesn't sound good. Well, I wanna learn more about this Dream guy.

Zach: Well, I guess we could bring you back to the team for a bit. What do you guys think?

Tommy and Tubbo thought about it before they agreed that Brad would join our team for a bit. I looked at Prof. Williams who also agreed with me and the other leaders. Well, that settles it.

Zach: Welp, that settles it. Brad, welcome back to the team.

Dr. Simpson: Great. Wait a minute, I have to change out of my scrubs. You guys have to find Connor. He downstairs in the lab. We'll meet up at the hospital entrance.

Zach: Got it.

Before we left to do our own stuff, Prof. Williams called Tommy, Tubbo and I. Just for a quick talk before we meet Connor in the lab.

Prof. Williams: Brad has been working hard to get patients better. He actually deserves a break for a bit.

Zach: I know.

Tommy: So how are we going to meet Connor?

Prof. Williams: Since you're not allowed to enter the lab, you need to press the intercom button if you want to see one of the doctors working there.

Zach: Thanks, let's go. But where's the lab?

Prof. Williams: It's in the basement. You need to take the lift.

Toby: Thank you.

Zach: The lift? I'm claustrophobic.

Prof. Williams: Well, there's a stairway to the basement.

Zach: Thank goodness, let's go.

We went to the staircase and went downstairs to the basement level. I'm glad we don't have to take the lift, I'm claustrophobic and I have cystic fibrosis. Being claustrophobic and having a panic attack mixed with my condition is actually the worst mix ever. Anyways, we started walking down when Tubbo asked me something.

Toby: Zach, why are you claustrophobic?

Zach: It's a long story. If I'm around closed spaces, I could get a panic attack which is why I have to prevent them. Panic attacks and cystic fibrosis don't mix.
