Chapter 8

"KEIJI?!?" You screamed as he laid bleeding. "WAKE THE FUCK UP!! PLEASE!!" Minutes pass, and Akaashi still hasn't woken up. You start to cry even more than you already were and reach into your pocket grabbing your phone. You hit the emergency call button calling 911 and you tell them what happened.

Around 10 minutes later, an ambulance arrives and many doctors come rushing out of it. They run to Akaashi and shove you out of the way. One doctor, your old friend from high school, Kuroo Tetsurō, came out of the ambulance and rushed to see if you were okay.

"Y/n??? Is that you?" Kuroo asks.

"Kuroo?" You reply to him.

"Yep. That's my name." He says. "Now, are you okay? Or is it just your boyfriend?"

"Just Akaashi." You say. "These two men came and surrounded us and then one of them was aiming for me and Akaashi jumped in front of me causing the bullet to hit him instead..."

"Oh. My. God... y/n.." Kuroo said as he pulled you in for a hug. "I am so sorry.."

"No no, don't be sorry, Kuroo. It's not your fault..." you say.

"Still... but I'm just letting you know now, you're gonna need to head down to the police station to talk to them about this incident at some point between tonight and tomorrow." Kuroo told you.

"I really need to do that?" You ask.

"Yeah, but I can ask if you can speak to Daichi specifically. I know you two used to be good friends from volleyball." Kuroo says. "Want me to do that?"

"Yes please..." you say, frowning.

You glance over to Akaashi and the other doctors and realize that they are trying to stop his bleeding. You push Kuroo off of you and rush to Akaashi.

"AKAASHI?!? WILL HE BE OKAY?!?" You pretty much yell to the doctors.

"Ma'am, don't worry. You're boyfriend should be just fine, but he may need surgery performed on him." One doctor says.

"Oh thank god." You say.

"But for now, we need to rush him to the hospital before he bleeds out completely." Another doctor says.

"Alright... just keep him alive for me.. please.." you whisper.

"Ma'am, you can come ride inside the ambulance with us if you'd like." That doctor says.

"Sure.." you whisper.

Two doctors go to pull out a stretcher from the back of the vehicle and the rest of the doctors lift Akaashi onto it. They get him into the back on the ambulance and you follow. You sit down on a stool next to Akaashi and grab his cold hand.

"Keiji... please.. stay with us. Stay with me..."
