Chapter 9

The ambulance rushed to the nearest hospital and you went inside after the doctors. You went to the receptionist and checked in Akaashi. Akaashi was then admitted into a hospital room where different doctors went in the room the check him out.

You sat down in a waiting room chair, constantly murmuring to yourself hoping Keiji is okay. You s get up and go outside so you can call Bokuto to meet you there.

"Y/n? Why are you calling me at 11pm?" Bokuto said when he answered the phone.

"A-Akaashi... he-he got shot.." you say, crying once again.

"WHAT?!?" Bokuto screamed into the phone.

"We were on a late night walk and it just- happened... we were taking a shortcut back to his place and two men showed up.."

"Y/n where are you?!? I'm coming there right now!" Bokuto said as he started running to his car.

"I'm at Riverside Hospital." You cry into your mic.

"I'm on my way. I'll see you in 10." Bokuto said as he stepped into his car, hanging up the phone.

10 minutes later, Bokuto arrives at the hospital rushing inside to meet you. You see him and immediately stand up and rush to hug him. You dig your face into his shoulder.

"It was all my fault, Bokuto..."

"Y/n, how on earth could Akaashi getting shot be your fault?!?" He asked.

"The men... they wanted me. They said that if they couldn't have me nobody could and then they shot the gun towards me but Keiji stepped in the way.. so it is all my fault.." you cried into his shirt.

"Y/n..." Bokuto said as he rubbed your back and tried to comfort you. "He did it because he loved you and he knows you would do the same for him.."

"Bokuto, your the bestest friend I could ever have..." you cry.

"Friend... yeah. And you're the best friend I could have as well."

While you where crying into Bokuto, a doctor comes up to you. "Ma'am, you're here for Akaashi Keiji, correct?"

You look up at the doctor. "Y-yes. That's correct."

"Akaashi is unconscious right now due to bleeding. We need to perform surgery to get this damned bullet out of his body. Is it okay if we do that and start right away?" The doctor asks you.

"Oh no... " you whisper. "Uhm... yes.. just-just keep him alive for me..."

"Will do ma'am. But I am informing you now that if we do this there is a chance he may not wake for quite a while."

"As long as he stays alive than it's fine.."

"Great. We will start this surgery as soon as possible."
