Hii I know this update took a while. To make up for it I have some 🦋 scenes that are exciting :)

"....and that's just the first two parts. We have four parts planned that we will discuss." Gabriel was explaining our mission plan to my men.
We spent two sleepless nights (remind you I still have a concussion so I needed sleep) discussing our mission plan. I'm fiddling the pen watching my men's expressions while the plan unfolds in front of their eyes.
"I like it." I shift my eyes to Nina.
With this mission I decided it was time to recruit new people onto Level 6, which consisted of 12 people that know everything and are basically "my team". I sent 3 from the 12 to work with my uncle in Italy, and for now I added Nina. She was strong minded, one of the best in the mafia, and my close friend.
"But I think we need a decoy plan. If our people in Italy are helping us, I'm sure they have information they aren't giving us. We should give them a plan that's not our real one."
"What do you mean information they aren't giving us?", I fold my hands and look at her intensely.
"Mr. Kairi was your great great grandfather. He obviously was brought up in Italy, so all his records of starting a mafia in America will be there as well. Nile, what if all the information you need about your parents' death is with Italy? Maybe they aren't giving it to you."
I furrow my brows. Why wouldn't they? I'm their leader, and my uncle is the leader in Italy.
Why wouldn't they help me?
Would they be stuck up enough to hide crucial information?
"But why would they? Nile is family." Gabriel takes the words out of my mouth.
Nina shrugs. "Family doesn't always mean trustworthy. I know it's a mafia and loyalty is huge, but I'm just saying there is a chance they have what we need but are keeping it hidden. It's safe to have a decoy plan."
"And if they find out we were testing them? This is the Italian Mafia, Nina."
"We are the Italian Mafia as well, Nile." Nina responds with equal fire.
She and the rest of my men all look at me waiting for the next words I say.
There's a chance, Nile.
You know she could be right.
Zio hasn't been giving you enough information.
Maybe he's hiding it.
I nod slowly and I see Nina trying to decipher what I'm feeling.
"I'll look into it."
Nina turns her head to the side as if waiting for more. Gabriel looks between us in quiet shock. After all, she did just question the loyalty of the mafia but I know there is a chance she's right.
And I'll find out just how much.

10:00pm
I enter my apartment and the cool air conditioning hits me and gives me chills. It was September now, so I made a mental note to turn it off. I put my keys and shoes away sighing at the comfy feeling of my socks on the hardwood floor. First thing I do is grab a glass of water.
