"Don't go!" My best friend Riley cried in front of me.
"I'm sorry, but mom says that I have to." I reply sadly. She sniffled, wiping a tear away.
"Here." She says, handing me the bracelet that she had always kept on her arm. I don't think I have ever seen her without it. It was handmade and had her name woven into it. I took it and gave her a hug.
"I'll be back. And then we can be together again." I tell her.
"Promise?"
"I promise. And I promise that I won't love anyone and won't date anyone till I can be with you again." I tell her.
"I promise that too." She whispers.
