"Where is it?" I mutter under my breath."Hey mom?" I call out.
"Yes?" I hear her reply.
"Where's my box of things that we didn't unpack yet?" I ask.
"In the left side of the attic!" She replies.
"Oh thanks!" I yell back.
I head back up to the attic and sift through the remaining boxes until I come across some with my name written on it in sharpie. I open the flaps of several, dig through it until I can announce it as another fail. I finally come to the last box, and just pray that it's in there.
I toss aside various things. Old toys, clothes, odds and ends. But then I finally come across the medium sized tin cookie can with the familiar drawings on it. I open it, toss out the old cloth and then pull out the woven bracelet.

I scan the hallways, making sure that nobody was looking. Especially Charlie or Riley. Luckily, they aren't around.
I'm not scared of Charlie. Sure he threatened me but he has no right to come here and act like he owns Riley. Riley was mine first.
I take the bracelet from my pocket and turn it over in hands. I take another look around before I slip it through one of the openings in Riley's locker. Now all I have to do is wait.
