I come to school the next day, a terrible mood brewing. The littlest thing can send me flying off the handle.
I have to find Charlie and speak to him about our project. There is no way I am doing it all on my own. Surprisingly, I find him at his locker alone.
"Hey there, partner!" He says, smirking as I near closer.
"Listen here! There is no way I'm doing this project-"
"Alone?" He says calmly, cutting me off.
"Yeah, alone. I'll tell everyone what a jerk you are." I threaten, but he just laughs.
"Let me tell you something. I'm popular and you're not. Everyone worships me. The chances of everyone believing you is pretty slim. So just go back to your little groups of dorky friends." He replies. I put my head down, ashamed that I don't have a comeback. He laughs and then walks away.

"We need to do something about Charlie." I announce to the guys.
"And what exactly do you have in mind?" Eldon sighs.
"I don't know yet. But it's going to make everyone hate Charlie, including Riley and then she's going to come running in my open arms." I reply.
"You're delusional." Hunter mutters.
"Determined is a better word." I respond.
"Before you do anything, you're going to need some pretty good proof for everyone to believe you. And even then the chances of Riley leaving Charlie and falling for you don't look too good." Eldon tells me.
"Then I'll make sure I got good proof." I reply.
"I don't mean to poke holes in your plan, but what is it that you're certain Charlie is doing that will make everyone hate him?" Hunter questions.
"That, I'm not sure yet. And that's why we need to investigate a little to find out." I reply.
"Excuse me? We?" Daniel pipes up.
"Yeah. Aren't you guys helping me?" I question.
"Sorry, but I can see that this is going to lead to trouble." Daniel sighs, gets up and leaves.
"Yeah, me too." Hunter agrees and leaves as well.
"I like having fun, but I know what it's like to be unpopular and unwanted. I don't want that to happen to anyone else. Charlie included." West says and leaves as well.
"Eldon?" I inquire.
"I know that you want to get Riley back James, but I can't do this. I agree with what all the guys are saying." He says, leaving as well.
"Alright, cowards! I'll going it myself!" I yell angrily at all of them.
