Previously on Our Pain:

I've never felt anything as good as this feels right now.

Betty's pov
Cuddled into Jughead, we talk and talk for hours, get to know eachother better. By now, I'd say we know eachother by heart, for how many times we've had the chance to get to know the other.

"So you tell me, that you have never been to school before you came to riverdale high?"

"Yes, I believe that's exactly what I said. Well, if you count kindergarten as going to school, then yes, I have gone to school once before coming to riverdale." he gave me a funny look as I giggled at his weird looking face.

"What I don't understand is why. Why have you, Veronica and Polly never went to school?"

"Because we weren't safe. The tribrids could've easily found us. Registering our names in a school's system meant giving the bad guys a clue as to where they could find us."

"Okay another question, smarty-pants." I glared at him before he chuckled and gave me a small peck on the lips. Tightening his arms around me. "Why did our parents do that to themselves? Why couldn't they just mind link each other? Wouldn't that have been easier for them I mean it's not like tribrids could trace their mind links."

"That's very true, although mom never told me the reason why, I think they never mind linked because it would be harder for them to stay away from each other. It's like, you get all or nothing of me." nodding his head slightly, he looked deep into my eyes.

"Now enough about our parents. Let me enjoy you and only you." tucking my head under his chin after kissing my forehead, he let's me tangle my legs between his, and with that, we fell asleep.

...

We woke up, to the sound of rustling. I was wearing my panties and Jughead's basic 'S' shirt while he was only wearing his jeans that stood low on his hips. Holding up his index finger to his lips, he indicated to stay silent as he got up.

Slow steady steps made their way to where the sound of rustling trees came from. He didn't quite reach his destination when a sweaty, hardly able to breathe Annette appeared.

"Elizabeth, Arthur. It's time."

"What? Time for what?"

"It's time to come back."

At the sound of those words, something deep in me nagged to get out.

"Betty. Betty. Betty."

I lost sight of direction, confusion taking over me as a voice kept on calling me.

"Elizabeth. Come to me. Let my voice guide you."

And suddenly, I wasn't in the lemon field, but infront of an ancient house, with a small figure waiting for me at the front door.

The face was friendly, with a small smile etched on her face, blond hair dripping on her shoulders as a white, dirty, old dress was the only clothes that she wore. Green, inviting orbs were drawing me in.

As I got closer to her, her facial features became more visible to me, and that's when I realized... she looked like... me.

As more confusion filled my mind, I heard her call out to me. I guess she was the voice that I was hearing before I got here. Wherever here was.
