"I've asked Miss Kenney to watch over Lorelei. To keep her eye out for anything that only she might see. I'm afraid that nothing significant has come up, so all of this may be necessary.." Lana sighed. "Are you sure of yourself?"

We had been up most of the night locked away in her study. The two of them explained all of their theories in great detail. As well as any plans they could come up with in the moment.

Everything relied on Lorel giving up any information she has on the con-artist running Luxemburg. Information that I was tasked with uncovering in less than two days. I told Lana that we should invite her to stay longer but she refused. There was a chance the leader of the Denali would be suspicious if we were to show her too warmly a welcome.

I was exhausted. I desperately wanted to go back to sleep like the other girl's had done hours ago.

Weekend classes were only held in the mornings. Lana was kind enough to dismiss me from them for the day. Instead I was to spend time with Lorel after waking up.

The sun would be up sooner than not but something drove me past the door to my room. I stood again infront of Lorel's, sensing that she was still awake inside. I knocked, although I didnt wait for a response before walking in.

"Hey." I sighed, rubbing my eyes as I noticed her sitting on the bed.

"You knocked." She smiled. "Come in."

I closed the door and made my way to her bed, sitting on the edge.

She pulled me closer, allowing my head to fall against her chest as she leaned against the the wall. I couldn't help but fall asleep as her arms wrapped around me.

When I woke up the sun was out but it was still very early. I managed to crawl out of Lorel's grasp, happy to find that she was still a deep sleeper.

I took a deep breath as I reached my room. Sabrina was sleeping until my hand grasped the doorknob. She began to stir as I closed the door behind me.

"Sleep with me." Her small voice requested as I picked my blanket up off the floor.

"You're not my type." I sigh, shuffling over to her side of the room anyway.

"Yes, I am.." She grumbled, pulling her covers back far enough for me to get under them. "Liar.."

It was rare that we slept in Sabrina's bed. I was usually too prideful to accept her help when I had nightmares or admit to being so comfortable with her in the first place. She had often ended up in my bed after moving into the house. Always far too stubborn to simply give up and leave me to suffer.

I moved to my own bed after Sabrina got up for classes. I was thankful when she didn't say anything on her way out the door.

When I finally got out of bed I could tell that my roommate had already been back at least once. Her bed was re-made and her side of the room was tidier. No doubt she was just standing around, picking things up while watching me sleep.

I cleaned myself up before leaving, hoping I hadn't missed lunch. To no luck.

The girls had all gone out for the day with the teachers. It seemed only Lana and Chloe remained, off doing their own things on the property.

Lorel was out on the terrace, enjoying the fresh air from last night's rains.

"You seem comfortable here. Makes one wonder what could have been." I say, thinking myself far too bold.

I didn't intend to get closer with her. I had spent these past years hoping to be rid of her one day soon. Now, I find myself trying to befriend her once again. When I know I should be feeling the need to kick her out to the curb.
