~Your POV~
"You like who?!!" you asked your best friend, Mikasa, in shock.
The black haired, usually stoic girl's pretty face was tinted rose pink as she looked shyly at you.
"Eren."
While she was glowing, you were slowly deflating. She wasn't the only one who fell for the brown-haired dashing teen, but you were swooped from your feet by the titan shifter too.
"That's great Mikasa!" you said, smiling like your heart wasn't slowly breaking, each shard piercing the remaining whole. "You can get him! I'm sure he likes you back!"
She turned a deeper shade of pink, pulling up her precious red scarf.
"I don't know, (Y/N)... What if he just sees me as his adoptive sister?" Mikasa asked nervously, voice muffled by the scarf.
"Then he doesn't know what's he's missing," you said as you pulled the girl towards you, hugging her to comfort her nervousness.
She hugged you back, giggling a little.
You, on the other hand, was choking back sobs of heartbreak that wanted to tear out of your throat, fighting back the tears that blurred your vision as you struggled not to cry on Mikasa's arms.

You put your back against the door of a random room, muffling your sobs with the palm of your hand. The other hand clutching your heart.
You were listening to Eren talk to Armin, joy and love obviously mixed in his voice.
"I really like Mikasa, even if I try to fight the feeling back," the brunette sighed lovingly.
