Chapter 11

The lecture was great today and I'm happy with the fact that i'm bringing Cassie over to Nolan's place so at least i'll do my assignment, play games and maybe practice guitar with Jake. "Oh God, what am I thinking?" I asked myself. "I'm actually going to get my license today and Jake is coming along so Cassie will just stay with Nolan then." I concluded speaking to myself again.

(Mr. Clark is not around, he went on a business trip and he has paid me. It kinda felt great to have my first salary. I gave the money to my aunt and she immediately doubted how a pizza's store could pay that high (5,000 dollars) well I don't blame her, I would have thought the exact thing if I was her.

"So......... ready to get your license?" Someone whispered to my ear from behind. I turned around to see the person and it turn out to be Jake.

"Gosh! you startled me". I released the breath I was holding as I touch my chest.

"Huh....... sorry, don't mean to." He answered apologizing.

"Its okay, let's go and get that thing." I sounded confident.

We arrived there and I actually found the driving test easier than I expected. (To me, I will say I did great).
After a while, Mr. Wilson (a white bald man whom am sure knows me well by now due to my constant failing) approached us wearing a smile .
"Finally you passed!" Mr. Wilson announced. I smiled and turn to Jake to give him a high five as I shout "Yes!".

"I have never seen such a perfect couple before, you guys look great together. And you, young man don't break her heart okay?"

"We are actually not a couple, we are just friends." I corrected quickly. "Oh sorry ". He apologized. "So I'm guessing I'll get the license right away right!?" I said trying to change the awkwardness in the atmosphere. "Yup!" Mr. Wilson replied with the same spirit. "Here you go." He handed me what I've been aspiring my whole life. Huh...maybe not my whole life. Anyways, I'm proud of myself.

"So can we go?" I face Jake who as being quiet. "Yes". He gave a little smile. "Shout out to best driver in town!" I hailed myself as we walk to our car. "Don't end up crashing on the way!" Mr. Wilson warned.

Jake and I got back to Mr. Clark's mansion with a lot of drinks. (We are planning to make cocktail with it, to celebrate my WIN)

"Cassie you didn't even come out to watch the best driver in town parked". I said after entering the house. She didn't respond though and she looked sad. "Hey, what's wrong?" I asked her. "Nothing". She tried to blink back the tears in her eyes. "Tell me Cassie did that asshole did something?" I asked remembering who I left her with. "Don't curse at him Diana.... But its him." She burst out in tears. "I'll go prepare the cocktail." Jake whispered to me not wanting to be part of this drama. Oh she's my friend I shouldn't call this drama, its..... Umm oh, emotional scene. That sounds better right?

"Are you even listening to me?" Cassie said bringing me back. "Yeah, of course." I told her even though I didn't hear anything. "How dare he did that to you". I tried acting along with the situation I didn't know. "I mean look at me Diana, aren't I beautiful?" She stood up in her glory. "You are super hot Cassie." I told her which was the actual truth. "Then why wouldn't he look at me? When you and Jake left, he didn't even looked back, he just walked away into some place and lucked it like I didn't exist." "Ouch! That was so rude of him, are you sure he wasn't shy and that's why maybe he tried to hide?" I suggested trying to make her feel better even though I know Nolan will never be shy to anyone. But he was a coward to that girl on his wall, stupid boy, he couldn't even confess his feelings.

"I'm not stupid Diana, I know Nolan Clark is not the type to shy away. And that's why I'm begging you to make him look my way".

"Me? Cassie you know how............ "

"The cocktail is ready!" Jake announced interrupting me. "Let's talk about this later." Cassie said dismissing the conversation.

Five minutes later, Jake, Cassie and I were seated on the coach watching movie and sipping our cocktail. "You are bad nanny you know that right?" I suddenly heard from behind. I know that voice from anywhere. Couldn't he just keep to himself and leave me alone? "Did you need me to come change your diapers baby Nolan?" I answered sarcastically making Jake to burst out in laughter. "What do you mean?" He snapped getting angry.

"How old are you ? seriously, that you think me being your nanny is cool.
Get a life Nolan and let everyone around you live in peace." I answered rudely facing back the TV I was watching and making a loud sip to taunt him. "How dare you......." He fumed from behind snatching my glass of cocktail and pouring it over my head getting a gasp from Jake and Cassie. He reached toward the extra two glasses of cocktail on the table and poured one on me. "That is much more satisfying". He scoffed in victory sipping the other cocktail in his hand.

I stared at my feet as the cocktail drip down from head. I'll kill this guy today. I stood up walking towards him thinking of the quickest way to end his life when I suddenly noticed he was getting red and rashes were appearing all over his body. Is that even possible? I wondered in horror has his face turn into a complete mess and he started scratching his body.

"What the heck did you mix in the drink!?" He stilled manage to accuse me. "I didn't mix anything you fool!" I yelled back. "Oh no." Jake said gaining our attention. "What?" I asked him. "Part of the drink for the cocktail contained ginger and Nolan is allergic to ginger!" "You witch!" Nolan groaned in total anger. "Do whatever you want but don't touch me." I warned him taking back a step. "I'll call a doctor". Jake said quickly.

About 25minutes later, the doctor arrived. I actually felt pity for Nolan for the first time. He couldn't stop the itching and he looked so ugly right now. At least his ugly state will set one thing right, it will make Cassie loose her interest in him hopefully though.

"I need to inject him with antihistamine, he has a severe allergy to ginger." "INJECTION!?" Nolan cried in horror. "No way, I won't take that shit into my body". "Then maybe you need to look into the mirror to decide that." I snapped at him. "You look like an ugly tomato right now and you are still acting up like a child when the doctor is clearly trying to fix you up."
"I'm not a child!" He barked scratching his face some more. "Then prove it nanny boy". I rolled my eyes.

"I see what you're doing but I'll take the injection anyway". He complied finally. Hurting his ego always works , I shud do that alot. I smirked. "Whatever".

"Please step out and I'll be done real quick." The doctor said. "Sure sir". I answered. Jake, Cassie and I waited at the door for the doctor to be done. "It isn't that he didn't want to take the injection, he's actually scared of it." Jake informed while laughing. The arrogant and rude NOlAN CLARK is a baby when it comes to injection. I smiled. "That's cute". Cassie passed her comment. Oh no this means she's still not over him?

"Take this medicine and give him once in a day for three days, it will help him recover quickly.

"Okay sir, thank doctor". I shook the doctor's hand.

"You are laura right? he kept repeating your name while taking the injection. He really does love you."
The doctor said delivering an unwanted information.

"Thank you doctor". Jake said quickly dismissing the doctor.

"Yeah I'll be on my way now".

Better. I said inwardly.

But who are you laura? Why do you have so much effect on Nolan?
