Chapter 1

"Mom! Laura"! Nolan shouted as he wakes up from his dream. He sat up on his bed and recalled how he lost his mom and his girlfriend. He took a deep breath and drank the water that was right next to his bed, as he whispers to himself "I will never forgive myself."
He got up and decided to do his work out before going to college.

"Aunt off I go"! Diana said to her aunt (Mrs. Scott)  as she ran out of the house to meet her best friend Cassie in the car.
"Hey". Diana greeted as  she enters the car.
"You... I hope I won't strangle you to death one day". Cassie murmurs as she starts the car.
   "What now? And hey, can you drive the car slowly? Am still very clear I do not want to die now".
    " Really Diana, now you want me to drive slowly after you wasted my time."
  "Well yeah, is not as if we are late for any lecture". Diana replied making faces.
    "What, so you think am driving this fast for some lecture? Hell no, I'm  driving fast because I want to  see him"! 
      "Don't tell me you want to have me killed with your reckless driving only because of that arrogant rich brat"?
       " Whatever, I like him!!! We are in school!! ". Cassie screamed as she ran out of the car.
      "Hey! Hello? Are you leaving me"?

            * After lecture*

      "Nolan! Wait up"! Nathan (Nolan's only friend) shouted as he ran after him.
         " What now Nathan? I wanna go home now".
       " Huh....... Well..... Huh........ Nathan stammers as he feel reluctant to say what he wants.
      "Huh.. Well.. Huh..(Nolan said as he imitate Nathan)  I don't have the time, and you of all people know that. If you've got anything to say then just go to the point."
         "Don't shout at me dude, I just wanted to say that let's have race today please...
      "I told you not to (Nolan interrupted)
        "Yeah, I know you've asked me not to talk about it, but you need  to let go of the past, it's been three years already ".
        "Stop"! Nolan exclaimed as he closed his eyes. He took a deep breath, looked at Nathan and started walking away. He rewinded the incident that had happened three years ago. He wasn't ready to let go of the past. He knew nothing was sure for him. He had everything but lost it in one day, because his mom and his girlfriend (Laura) meant everything to him. If  anything is sure for him now, that can only be: he's never going back to racing because he lost all he had because of it. Another thing that is sure for him is: never allowing any one to take Laura's place in his heart.
     " Hey! Can't you see?  You just bumped into me". Diana cried.
       Nolan looked at her and asked: "Are you new"?
        "No, why are you even asking? I just said you bumped into me, aren't you suppose to apologize"?
       "I asked because no one dares to question me". He took out five dollars, threw it at her and said "if you are hurt? Go fix yourself". And then he left.
   "I promise I hate this guy". Diana grumbled.
