Behind every picture

Chapter 4

         The next day, I almost do not wanna go to school but then I consider myself lucky that my aunt is out of town. If she was around then I bet I will be under some punishment by now.

        I Took out my phone to try and text Cassie to come pick me up but then I realizeed things have changed. I sigh and said - "This day is already getting worse for me." I will need to set things back today after school. I thought.

   I came out of the house and locked the door. (Ethan left already with his school bus). I decided to call a cab when suddenly Shawn arrived with his bike. "I guess you need a ride to school right"? He asked.

    "Thanks Shawn, you have always been there when I needed someone."
I said looking at him.

      "C'mon now Diana, don't make me emotional and besides you don't wanna make my bike cry or do you?" Shawn asked sarcastically.

   "And why will your bike cry?" I asked.

     "Well my bike is dying for you to get your ass on it". He said winking at me.

     "I swear to God you are crazy". I replied laughing. As I was about to get on the bike, his phone rang.

     "What now?" Shawn said frowning.

   "Who is that?" I asked checking his phone. "Oh it's Sophy (Shawn's girlfriend). Pick the call". I said.

    "Fine." He replied rolling his eyes. After the call he looked at me and ask me to get on the bike, I looked back and said -  "I heard everything, go to her".

       "C'mon Diana, just because she wants me to come get her doesn't mean I shouldn't drop you first." Shawn replied.

        "You're  been sturbon, she's your girlfriend and you should listen to her first before anybody. " I said.

       "But you not just anybody, you are my friend. " he replied.

     "I don't wanna talk about this anymore, go over to her. I will take a taxi and you don't wanna make me late for class by arguing with me." I answered.

       "Fine let me take you both." Shawn continue.

      "No,  I don't want to be mad at you now so go."I said forcefully.

    "Kk, take care." Shawn replied starting his bike.

I arrived at school and I was shocked to see the media running towards me. I froze in surprise not knowing what to do. The media arrived and they started asking questions.

I stood there looking at them as they asked questions and take pictures. I was saved  only when Shawn arrived and stood up for me. They all left and I hugged him crying. I thought of going back home but I didn't because I don't want to end up been home alone. Through out all my classes,  I was only waiting for school to be over so I can do what I have in mind to set things back to normal.

       After school I left without telling anyone but texted Ethan to get the spare key where we always hide it. I told him i'll be home a little late.

    "Sir please let me in I want to speak with Mr. Clark." I pleaded as I stood in front of Nolan's house.

        "And who are you? Am sorry I can't just let you in." The security man replied.

     I am sure this man haven't watch or read the latest news in town. If not am sure he would have recognize me. I thought. "But sir please just let me in this once." I said.
