When I was 5 years old, my parents signed me up for adoption because of my... condition, they told me that it was for the best and that it would be safer for me to be away from them. But I knew that they just didn't want me because I was ''special''.

I remember my first night in the orphanage I cried till my eyes were pink and puffy, a week later a family adopted me

A husband a wife and a daughter.

The daughter's name was Alexis, she and I became fast friends. I thought it was strange how she was so nice to me even though I was a stranger in her home, but my suspicions soon went away as she was like a sister to me. She was the only one that I could trust in this new house (well also their German Shepard Lucy but aside from that) I felt like I could tell her anything.

Like my secret.

She could already tell that something was off about me, I was hesitant at first but knew that I could trust her.

When I finally showed her what I could do she was surprised at first and by the look she had on her face back then a little creeped out, but she told me that she would do her best to keep my secret safe.

I already knew that Mr. and Mrs. Carpenter weren't going to be a problem, from the moment I met them I could already tell that they were as dense as a bad of bricks, so I was fine concerning them.

Though I still missed my parents, I knew that they weren't coming back for me but I had Alexis now and that was all that mattered, and we still had two more months of summer to get to know each other better! Life was good, for now anyway

Now all I had to do was try and live a normal life

...

Which will be hard considering the fact that I can grow  flowers with my blood

Red poppies to be exact.
