Believe it or not but I actually like math.

The subject itself? No. The class? Yes.

My teacher Mr. Lee is really cool and funny, everyone likes him because of his weird mix of goofy/calm personality. One minute he can be this witty, comical guy that does cartwheels in the hallway and the next he's a tranquil, serene gentleman that opens the door for everyone and anyone. And the best part? His husband is a chef and doesn't like wasting failed projects so he has Mr. Lee bring them to us, we learn about pi while eating pie!

''And for surface area, you have to add up all of the final sums after you multiply the length, width and height of the shape''.

''Uhm, Mr. Lee I got 260 is that the right answer''? ''Amazing work Alexis I'm glad that you're improving''. ''Thanks Mr. Lee, I'm just hoping that I'm ready for the test next week''. She's not the only one even though Mr. Lee is a great teacher I just can't seem to get the hang of it. But I'm really glad that Alex is getting better I mean, one of us has to graduate right?

''Hey Mr. Lee, you're coming to see our game on friday right''? ''We're gonna crush Eastside''!

Oh great, another reminder of my crushed big debut.

''Actually Conner that might be the other way around''. ''Totally Eastside hasn't lost a game yet and you guys haven't won a game at all''! Conner's proud grin dropped from his face at Alexis and I's comment.

''Well y'know Alexis I might just put a little more effort into games if you cheered me on once and a while'', he said with a smirk. She was just about to give him the 'finger' when Mr. Lee spoke up, ''Conner I've been to your games and maybe if you removed all those extra muscle pads and only wore the required ones you'd be able to move faster''. The class snickered, ''Hey''! ''Everything about me is real including my muscles''. What was he trying to flex his bones?

''Sure thing bottle blonde''. Everyone erupted in laughter and Conner looked pissed.

''And that's the bell class have great rest of you're day''. Finally, ''Speaking of sports don't you have club practice today Talia"?

"Yeah, I feel like today is going to be a great day at practice".

I was wrong, I was so, so very wrong.

"Talia"? "You in there, come on out".

I'm currently hiding in a storage closet surrounded by rapidly blooming red poopies and since that's happening you can already guess what caused it. "I'm really sorry I didn't mean to throw it that hard, coach has some bandages back in the gym so you have to come ou- is that a flower"?

Blood is quickly running down my bottom lip and with it producing multiple of poppies growing on the closet floor and any other cleaning supplies the blood drops on. Something like this has never happened before.

"Talia what are all of these flowers doing here, did you do this"? "Should I go and get some help"?

My heart's beating faster each minute and my head is starting to become dizzy and clouded with thoughts and panic, "No it's okay I'm fine Marin, just a bit startled there's no need to get anyone". I say right before my shoulder knocks into a broom and it goes crashing down onto some suppiles.

"That's it, I'm getting coach. A".

I beg for her not to but it's already too late as I hear her footsteps leave the area, I wish I could call Alex but my phone is tucked away in my bag in the locker room. The only way to save myself now would be to

1. Clean up this mess

2.Make it to the locker room undetected

3. Get my phone

4. Call mom and dad

5. Come up with some lame excuse as to why I have to leave and explain the flowers to Marin in a way that doesn't expose my secret

6. Get away smoothly

Let the games begin.
