A/N: This is the first time I write a character with anorexia or any sort of eating disorder, so I had to do a little research. I do apologize if any of it is inaccurate, like I said, it's my first time. Thank you! Enjoy!

Description: DTK wants to achieve "the perfect body" and develops anorexia in the process. His weapons are the first ones to realize and his friends try to help him

"it's getting better." Kid said as he stared into the mirror. His skinny physic staring right back at him. He buttoned up his white shirt and slipped on his black in white dress jacket.  His suit was baggy enough that it wasn't a tight fit his body. 

He was tired, he held onto the staircase's rail for dear life.
"Good Morning, Kid" he heard Liz from the kitchen say. She must have had heard him come down the stairs.
He entered the kitchen.
"I made some breakfast" She smiled and pulled out a plate for him. "Thank you" he grabbed it gingerly.

Liz finished putting some food on her plate and quickly sat next to Patty. Kid tried to put as little as possible on his plate, a small scoop of each and sat down next to Patty. "That's all you're eating, kid?" Liz asked, a worried tone in her voice. "Yeah, I'm not all that hungry this morning." Kid lied for her sake.

The day went by fairly quickly, just like any other day at school. When the bell rang, signaling the end of the day, Maka ran up to Liz and Patty. "Hey, Soul and I want to invite you and Kid to dinner this evening."

"That sounds great, right ki-" Liz turned her head to where kid should have been sitting. "Where is he?" Patty asked

"He was here all morning."

"Maybe he went home early, we'll see you tonight, Maka."

Kid had been staring at his bedroom mirror since lunch time. Lifting his shirt to see of how he "improved".

'I think I need work harder' Kid thought. But then,

KNOCK
KNOCK
KNOCK

he heard a knock at his bedroom door. "Hey Kid, we're getting ready to have dinner at Maka and Soul's, do you want to join us?"

He felt nervous for a moment, "No, I don't feel do well, you go in without me."

"Huh? Are you sure" Liz said through the closed door.

"Yes, I'm sure."

"Oh well, be careful, take care"
He heard her foot steps trail from the door and go downstairs.

Once her heard the front door clothes,
He stripped naked and stood on the scale. It had read 79 lbs. He sighed got changed into comfortable clothing and slipped on some running shoes.

At Maka and Soul's apartment, everyone had finished up dinner. Maka and Soul were doing the dishes and everyone was chatting in the living room. "Can I ask you guys something?" Liz asked the group.
"No problem. What's up?" Black star said in curiousity.

"It's about Kid, don't you think he's acting unusual? Patty and I have been noticing that."

"I've seen that too!" Tsubaki said "what do you think could be wrong?"

It was the middle of the night, and no one was on the road. It seemed as if it just finished raining. Kid jogged around the block continuously. He didn't know how long he had been running for, but long enough for Patty and Liz to see him running back to the house's door.

"KID!" Patty called out. His eyes widened in shock, he was tired. He couldn't stand up straight. "What are your doing?" Asked Liz.

"Nothing-" he could barely keep his eyes open.

"Kid, are you alright?" Patty asked.

"I'm fi...fine" His eyes closed, and he collapsed on the front porch. The last thing he heard was Liz and Patty yell out his name, worried for their meister and friend.

He felt a bright light, forcing his eyes to open. Kid heard the continuous beep of a Holter monitor. "Look Doc, he's coming around." He heard a familiar voice.

'That's Dad's voice.' He thought. "Where am I?" Kid managed to say.

His eyes bolted around the room, he saw his father a with worried look on his faces and a doctor writing something down on their clipboard.

Kid sat up, a pounding headache in his brain. "Take it easy, Kiddo"

"Father? What are you doing here?"

"Well, I have to see if my son is alright." He put a hand on his shoulder.

"What happened to me?"

"You've been diagnosed with Anorexia Nervosa, an eating disorder that bases itself by your distorted image of yourself." Said the doctor

Kid was in shock, he didn't have any words.

"Have you change the amount of food that you consume each day?"

"No..." He lied, out of embarrassment.

"Kid, i have already come to the conclusion your body isn't getting the amount of nutrition it needs."

Kid, sat there quietly, "yes..."

"How long has this been going on for?"

"Almost a year..."

"If it weren't for your weapons finding you before your condition got worse, you'd still be slowly hurting yourself and your body."

Kid hadn't been this nervous in a while. He's being told that he was living with a serious problem for almost a year. He really didn't know what to say.

"Where are they now? My weapons."

"Liz and Patty are outside, so are your other friends." Lord death reassured.

"Could I see them?"

"No problem." The doctor said, and walked to the door to tell them to come inside.

A moment later, he saw the gang walk in happy to see he was doing alright. "Hey kid, how are you doing?" Soul asked.
Tsubaki placed a rose on the bed-side table.

"I don't know"

Maka gave him reassuring face. "Listen kid, we wanted to tell you, you don't have to change who you are. You are perfect just the way you are."

"I may be in here for a while but thank you, everyone" Kid smiled.

A/N: Hello, everyone! I hope you enjoyed this oneshot.

I wasn't very happy with this one, mostly because I don't have much experience with writing eating disorders or have any first hand experience what so ever.

Do feel free to correct somethings in the comments and give me writing suggestions about eating disorders for future reference.

I am always open to requests, but be patient with me.

I know eating disorders are an issue so i want to tell each and everyone of you that you are perfect just the way you are and you do not need to change yourself for others <3
