A/N: The idea I had was that (y/n) is doesn't like DTK much because he annoys them when no body is looking. Also with the uniform for you job I had to put maid/butler because of how those places work. So if you're a girl and/or AFAB, wear the maid dress, if your a boy and/or AMAB wear the butler suit. "Hey cutie" Death the kid swaggered over, leaning on one of the lockers next to yours. You sigh in annoyance. Kid always tried to flirt with you when no one is looking, you tried to tell your friends about it but they never believed you because you two act as if you hate each other, you all just seemed to never click. "Go away, stripey" You say, hurting him a little. "That's a little harsh, don't you think?" He teased, dramatically. "I have to head to work, don't bother me"
When you get to the Death Café , a maid café not to far from the school, you slip on your maid/butler uniform and get to work. Unfortunately for you, the first person you had to serve was Death the Kid and his twin pistols, Liz and Patty. You loved those girls but were upset kid was there. "Isn't nostalgic, Patty?" Said Liz as you got closer. "We used to work here"
"It is!" responded patty happily.
"Hello, Liz, Patty..." Your happy smile turned into a frown "Kid..."
"(Y/N)" He responded a little intimidatingly. You blushed a little, but it was barely noticeable. "What would you all like?" You happy attitude came back, pulling out your notebook. "three coffees and three blueberry muffins, please" Says Liz. "it will be here in a few moments." You say as you walk away to gather the order.
"Kid..." Liz whispered
kid jumped, falling our of a trance and face liz "what?"
"it's obvious you like them"
"oh shut it" he looked back at you, picking up dirty cups and plates. "no where near it"
"sure, sure" Liz said, unconvinced.
"I'M SERIOUS!"
Liz and Patty laughed uncontrollably, tears streaming from their eyes. They didn't even notice You coming around with a tray of coffee and muffins. "What are we laughing about?"
"ooh it's nothing" Liz said, "don't worry about it"
"ok" you agreed "well enjoy your muffins, they're fresh too" You walk away to continue working and tend to other customers.
Throughout the time, Kid was looking at you, all he could think about was how adorable you looked in that uniform.
{TIME SKIP}
"Hey, Kid. Patty and I are tired, we're heading back to the house."
"No problem, I might stay a little longer, maybe get another cup of coffee". He sighed, looking down into his almost empty cup of coffee.
"Hey, aren't you leaving?" You said as you cleaned the tables.
"No actually i wanted to talk to you."
"me?" You looked around the room to no but the two of you. Was it your turn to close up shop today? You sighed, "Make it quick." You sat down across from him.
"I want to tell you, i don't annoy you to annoy you. I don't due it on purpose."
You stayed silent, not knowing what this was about.
"When I annoy you, I'm genuinely trying to flirt, but from your reaction, I'm guessing I'm not very good" He chuckles. "I guess what I'm trying to say is... I like you... alot..."
You cheeks went warm, you had no words. You had no clue what to say. So you coughed up whatever came to mind. "I... I guess you're... you're not that bad.." you stated, blushing, looking the other way, so he doesn't see.
He smiled a little, grabbing your hand gently and caressing it a bit. "I don't understand"
'Is this bitch- UGH' You thought. "Yeah, yeah, Stripey. I like you too."
"Great! Do you want me to walk you home? it's getting late."
"Yeah, that would be nice." You got up from your seat, "just let me get changed" You walked to the employees only room. "I'll wait outside then" Kid called.
Pushing open the door, he noticed a familiar presence. "Liz, Patty. I know you're here."
"Shut up, Kid. We saw everything." Whispered Liz, although Kid couldn't see her, he could hear her perfectly fine. he chuckled.
"Ready to go." You say as you close the door behind you. You finished changing into casual clothes and put on your coat. Locking the café up. "Yup"
"Let's go" beginning to walk. Kid secretly intertwined your pinkies together as you both walked in Death City on this beautiful night.
