First summary ever: Yukine falls in love with Naruto's jacket

Yukine POV

Yukine shivered again, the cold air wrapping around him and freezing his legs, but he didn't feel as exposed as when he had first changed from his sword form.

The jacket zipped up over him was big and baggy on his small frame, sagging around his shoulders and had nearly blinded him when he'd first seen it, even in the night. The zipper and sleeves were black, the bottom half was bright orange, and a weird swirly thing was fixed onto the shoulder.

It was big, unusually colorful, and smelled different, but it was warm. Warmer than Hiyori's scarf and the old shrine they'd slept in last night. It was almost cozy.

Yukine liked Naruto's jacket. Naruto's jacket was comfortable.

And then his thoughts were abruptly halted by the annoying rustling behind him. Yato had been digging through plastic bags since dawn to get Yukine 'his own clothes' since it was 'too much to ask' for Naruto to give Yukine his jacket.

Honestly, Yukine wanted to keep the jacket.

Turning around, he saw shirts and garments thrown carelessly around Yato's feet as the god combed through the bags, checking the sizes and then tossing them aside. Insults crawled their way up Yukine's throat and he didn't stop them.

"I seriously gotta wear this junk?"

"No complainin'.", Yato then pulled out a jacket smaller than Naruto's, "Hey, check it out Yukine! This seems cute!"

It was a Capypa jacket.

"That's lame."

"Then I'll wear it!"

Turning away, Yukine glared at the wall, praying that Naruto would let him keep the jacket.

_____

"Let's eat here today."

Down the street, where there was a Café-Restaurant Most, red and white and probably a place with good food. Between it and the next building over there was an old alley, where two people were currently residing in.

And one of them was staring incredulously at the foil plate before him, where the skinniest sardine Yukine had ever seen was placed onto the plate.

Yukine's brows furrowed as he tried to process that this  would be his meal for the day, "What is this?"

Yato was now digging through a crowd of trashcans(oh look at that, he's deteriorated), and had another dry sardine in his mouth. His words were muffled as he spoke around the fish, "You said you're hungry, so I got ya some lunch."

"This. . . is lunch?"

"Woah, that's your lunch?"

"Gah!", Yukine fell over in surprise at the sudden appearance of Naruto standing over him.

He looked the same as when Yukine met him; orange pants, black sandals, strange headband, and weird whisker marks. The only thing that was missing was the jacket, which Naruto had let Yukine keep. And like yesterday, Naruto was still wearing that white shirt with the red spiral.

"Ya know Naruto, you can just take your jacket back. I'm sure Yukine-kun wouldn't hold it against you.", Yato muttered.

Naruto grinned, "Well, Imma let him keep it until you manage to get him some proper clothes!"

"Me!?"

"Yep!"

Grumbling, Yato turned away and continued chewing on his fish.
