Naruto POV
Naruto didn't have time for this.
He really didn't have time for this.
On his left was the half-phantom Hiyori Iki and on his right Yato, the bastard who was at fault for this.
Above them was the oversized crab-formed phantom bellowing the classic words of a phantom, thundering above the buildings and snapping at them with its large crabby maw.
"That was supposed to be a Regalia!?"
"Regalia my eye!"
"B- b-but Yato said Regalia are spirits!"
"Thats an ordinary ol' phantom! A twisted ball of emotions!", Yato yelled, "Isn't it obvious!?"
Hiyori somehow gave him a sheepish look in this situation, "I thought so too at first, actually!"
"Sm୧llऽ пiርe!"
"But you said not to judge things by how they look!"
"ㄇi∁୧ ऽጦell!"
"This is how you follow my teachings!?"
"You actually listened to his teachings!?"
"Shut up Naruto!"
"No, you shut up! It's because of your dumbass I'm in this fucked up situation!"
"Yeah well its Hiyori's fault for trying so hard!"
Hiyori cut into their argument, "A-a-also just a side note!", she looked like she was about to cry, "I just lost my body!"
They both snapped to her, "Try harder with that!"
The phantom behind them seemed to take that as its cue and lunged forward, snapping and gulping at the empty spaces they the-second-before-were, leaping and hopping above its big ass head. As soon as Hiyori touched down onto the street, the green crab dove forward, large eyes fixed on her crouched figure.
Both Yato and Naruto turned around just in time to see it.
"Hiyori!"
"Shit!"
Before Naruto had to do anything though the girl jumped high above the phantom, relief on her human face.
She then swung herself to one of the utility poles and sprung up to the roof, waving her tail behind her.
"It's ok now! I can fight it by myself!", she then proceeded to tease the phantom, "Come come! Come and get me!"
It considered her for a second before reaching for her.
"Now!", she leaped over its mouth, "Jungle Savat-"
Yato grabbed her tail and pulled her away from the phantom, right before it snapped at where Hiyori had been midair.
The phantom realized the empty bite and then flung at Yato, clamping down on his arm and swinging the god around.
Naruto acted immediately and slammed down on the phantom, surging with red and blue and tearing at its back while Yato kicked off its leg, sending it flying into the next street over. The phantom let go and leaped over the buildings to hastily retrieve its lost leg.
Without a second thought Yato ran to Hiyori's twitching form on the ground and grabbed her hand, yelling 'Run!' while Naruto sped with them.
After a while of running, they stopped behind a house and crouched against a wall; Hiyori panting from exhaustion, Yato breathing heavily, and Naruto watching the streets for the phantom.
