Akahana sighed in relief as hot water ran through her fur and filled her with warmth. It was supreme bliss, and Akahana soaked in every inch of it, wanting nothing more to do than to just stay in the pleasant overflow...

"Hey! New girl!" Maiken shouted from one of the stalls. "Can you pass me a soap bar? I'm all out in here!"

"Oh, okay!" Akahana called back, grabbing her bar and parting the curtains. The one on the left had its velvet drapes slightly open by Maiken, who stared expectantly with an open hand. "Here you go." Without a word, Maiken snatched it out of Akahana's hands and she vanished back into her stall.

"Maiken," Came Darby's voice from the right stall. "I didn't hear you say thank you to Akahana."

"Gimme a minute Darbs! I'm scrubbing!" Maiken said back, and after a few moments, the stall's curtains were flung open once more. "Whew! Thanks!"

"You're welcome." Akahana smiled.

"See Darbs? She doesn't mind!" Maiken said.

"That's because she's not as boisterous as you are, Maiken." Darby sighed. "She has manners-"

"Hey, I have manners!" Maiken interrupted. "Remember the time I bowed before Bjorn-"

"Prince Bjorn." Darby corrected.

"Yeah, yeah, whatever. I bowed when he arrived, remember? That has to count for something, right?"

"Well, you did pat him on the shoulder a little too hard during that same visit." Eira said.

"Hey! I was just being friendly! Besides, it's not my fault that the guy is sensitive!" Maiken groaned. "I swear, for being next in line for the throne, he sure is a pushover."

"See? Not very well-mannered, now is it?" Darby chuckled, and Akahana giggled.

"Haha, very funny." Maiken flatly remarked. "What a wonderful quip."

Kanin chortled. "Well, when you say it like that, it makes it even funnier." She and Darby laughed, and Eira giggled.

"Ugh, I hope you throw yourselves down a well." Maiken said. "And a very very deep one at that.

"Sorry to disappoint, but I'll have to respectfully decline." Kanin snickered.

"Oh really? Then maybe I'll just throw you down a well myself!" Maiken pushed open the curtains and stepped out of the stall, her fur drenched.

"You wouldn't." Kanin laughed as she exited her stall. "Besides, I would be pretty hard to throw down a well, given my powers."

"Pfft. Powers or no, you'll be going down a well, one way or another." Maiken sat down before the mirror and wiped her face. "Hell, I'll throw all of you down a well if I get the chance!"

"Is that so?" Darby smiled as she sat down beside Maiken.

"Yep." Maiken grabbed a comb and brushed her fur.

"Even me?" Eira asked.

"Well, maybe not you Eira." Maiken grinned. "Out of all of us, she's the nicest." She whispered to Akahana.

"She definitely seems like the nicest." Akahana agreed, and Eira blushed at the compliment.

"Oh, stop it..." The lynx mumbled.

"Eh? What about me?" Darby asked, tilting her head.

"Well, you are nice, but in like a...slightly annoying way." She gave a cheeky smile.

"Even after all the meals I've made for you, I'm not good enough, hm?" Darby raised an amused eyebrow.

"I didn't say that!" Maiken said. "Besides, you aren't that nice when you train us."
