"Wake up everyone!" The screech of a whistle jolted Akahana out of her bed, and she almost hit her head on the roof of the bunk as she sat up quickly. Rubbing her eyes, she saw Darby standing tall and imposing before her and the other's bunk beds, a hard stare in her eyes. "We have a lot to do today, so pick your feet up, maggots!" Akahana yawned and climbed out of her bed, coming to stand beside the others, who stood tall with straight backs. "Akahana!" Darby shouted. "Stand straight! Slouching will not be tolerated!"

"O-oh, sorry!" Akahana apologized as she adjusted her posture.

"Do not apologize to me!" Darby yelled. "It's yes or no ma'am! Got it?"

"Yes ma'am!" Akahana said firmly.

"Good!" Darby blew her whistle again. "Now, follow!" She turned around and threw open the door, and Akahana and the others followed her out of the women's bedroom and down the hallway. Darby opened the door to the outside, and Akahana shivered as she stepped outside. The sun was barely above the horizon, and the twilight wind shook her to the core. Thankfully she wasn't the only one fazed by the cold, as Ryota and Takahiro were equally numbed by the cold as she was as they stood beside the other men, if not more when she realized that they were all shirtless. She flushed slightly when she noticed Asmund's bare chest, completely uncovered and showing off all the muscle that he had. Dagfinn stood on the tarmac, eyeing the lined up Vikings with slight disdain, before Darby came up beside him.

"Alright, soldiers!" Darby yelled. "Get ready for our morning exercise!"

"E-excuse me?" Takahiro raised a trembling hand.

"What?" Darby asked.

"A-aren't we g-going to eat first?" He asked, and Maiken snorted. "W-what?" Darby furrowed her brows, but she sighed.

"Hm...well, since you are new, I'll explain it to you then." Darby said. "We do our exercise first, and then we eat."

"O-oh," Takahiro chattered. "A-alright, t-thanks for e-explaining."

"It's no problem. But," Darby's eyes narrowed. "Never ask that again, got it?" Takahiro gulped and nodded. "Good. Now, let's start." She blew her whistle. "Give me fifteen pushups now!" Immediately, the Vikings dropped down on the frozen ground and began doing what Darby said, Akahana quickly doing the same. "Now squat down for me twenty times!" She ordered, and they followed through with it as well. They continued doing this for many more minutes, each barked command getting increasingly harder and harder. Sweat dripped down Akahana's face, and her bones were on the verge of giving out.

"Alright, that's enough!" Darby called, blowing her whistle. "That's the end of our morning exercise!" Gasps of relief came from the trainees as most either collapsed or staggered on their legs. "Now, get yourselves cleaned up for breakfast." With that, Darby and Dagfinn began walking back to the lodge, leaving the others to catch their breaths.

"So...how are you guys liking the Viking life so far now?" Maiken huffed, wiping the sweat off of her brow.

"It's...tiring...to say the least..." Akahana murmured.

"It feels...like my bones...just broke..." Ryota panted. "This...what you guys wake up to?"

"Yep!" Gjurd said. "Isn't it great?"

"G-great?!" Takahiro heaved, struggling to stand. "We have to wake up before dawn...in our nightwear no less...and do a drill...before we eat?! How is that great?!"

"Well, you better get used to it." Asmund said, dusting his bulky hands. "To be a Viking, your body must be able to endure anything."

"Easy for you...to say..." Ryota stood up shakily. "You're...built like brick house..."
