*3 MONTHS LATER*
Another 3 months went by like that. It's now been 6 months since I saw Toni in person, 4 months since she gave birth to her baby girl and 3 months since Minerva and I broke up. I was doing okay, I hadn't gotten the courage to go and see Toni yet, despite admitting my feelings to myself that I did indeed still love Toni, it didn't mean she loved me too.
Why would she? I'm so damaged. I'm an emotional disaster.
My mother was still living at Thornhill with Nana and I, I've gotten used to her presence, she doesn't say much to me and I barely listen to what she does say. I finally gave in sold my burnt down maple groves to Hiram Lodge for a fraction of what they should be worth, I knew Archie and the others will be so angry at me for giving in when they find out, but that was future me's problem. I was still coaching the Vixens at Riverdale High twice a week, it was the only thing that kept me sane. I spent my free time painting as usual to pass the time, but recently all my paintings were bleak, sad and just plain depressing.
A knock at my door interrupted my lonely thoughts, I answered the door to a delivery man.
"Parcel for Cheryl Marjorie Blossom" he stated.
"Ugh, yeah, that's me" I said and signed for the package. I opened it to discover it was a hamper filled with baby gifts for Toni, Fangs & Lilah. I ordered it last week when I had one too many glasses of wine.
I guess drunk Cheryl thought if I had gifts to bring Toni it would give an excuse to go and see her, sober Cheryl however knew that was a ridiculous ploy. Or was it?
A few hours had passed, I'd finishing reading my book and I starred at the hamper across the room. "Fuck it" I said out loud to myself and put the hamper in my car and drove to Toni and Fangs apartment. I sat and starred out my car window and at their front door for what felt like hours but in reality it was only minutes. I found my courage and knocked on the door. Fangs answered.
"Oh hey Cheryl" he said
"Hi Fangs, I bought you Toni and baby Lilah some gifts, hope that's okay? I know she's 4 months old and I've not been around but I thought it was about time. If th-that's okay?"
"Of course Cheryl, come in. Toni's fallen asleep on the couch but you're more than welcome to come in and meet Lilah, she's in her crib in there by Toni. I'm just going to make a phone call, ill be back in to keep you company soon"
"Okay, no problem"
I nervously walked into their living room and saw Toni laid peacefully on the couch, she looked so beautiful. She no longer had braids in her hair or any pink, I liked it. I saw a blanket on the back of their arm chair, took it and draped it over Toni, so she wouldn't get cold. I then saw the most beautiful baby laying in her play pen rustling in her blanket.
"Wow, you're beautiful aren't you baby girl? Just like your momma, yes you are" I said in my most annoying baby voice.
"Che-Cheryl? Is that you?"
"Hi Toni, I'm sorry did I wake you? Fangs let me in, I bought you some gifts, he's just on the phone I think"
"It's fine Cheryl, I'm glad you've finally come to see us, it's been a while"
"I'm sorry it's taken me so long Toni, I just-just thought it was best I gave you space"
"It's fine Cher, I really a glad you're here. It's about time Lilah met her auntie Cheryl"
"Auntie?"
"Is that okay?"
