The dancers were in the studio with the music, music makers, cameras, and their burning bright charisma.
Today they brought Rie just as Nine promised.
The two were sitting in the back with the music and fixing which songs they were going to practice with. At some point, it would just be a camera and the three dancers.
They choreographed the other non-center parts and they truly felt proud they all did their best and the cover for really well. Rie wasn't in the original cover or even Yoojung's first run over of the dance but he felt like he was surely closer with them and having him in the dance just clicked.
The video ended and the song ended so there they had the video.
In the moments following, they rewatched the video each time, ministering it as if they were on a huge show. The other members joined in too and there they all agreed this was going to break the dancing world.
"Hey Junji, aren't you going to hang out with Mingyu and Wonwoo? Isn't Minho coming?" Yoojung asked Junji.
"Ah yeah, Minho was worried he scared you off talking about cat kids or whatever," Junji spoke.
"Well, then I'm coming with you." Yoojung proposed directly as he grabbed his stuff.
Junji was going to go against it but Yoojung was already out the door so the most he could do was wave bye to the others.
Nine looked on as Rie glanced at his phone screen.
"Looks like I'm busy see y'all tomorrow!" Rie waved to the duo and dashed out the door.
"So-" Mill started.
It's been a while since he's spoken one on one with his best friend without having a 'new number of people in the group' or about 'SoundCloud tracks' in the sentence. He's missed times like these but now he'll just have to get used to it.
"Sorry mill, I gotta find some new beats for the new songs coming up gotta plan ahead for a Rie solo." Nine prompted as he opened up his laptop.
He just nodded understandably and walked out.
"I'll just take a little walk."
He said as he pushed the door to the studio open.
He looked up to the sky. It radiated baby blue and pale grey clouds as the forecast stated the area's cloudy state.
He walked around but still keeping track of where the studio was until he saw someone across the street he was going to pass.
It was gangsters, all dressed in whatever looked cool dark and a mixture of " you should be scared of me" vibe which Mill didn't like.
He froze and made eye contact with the person they were targeting. It was the boy a few days ago who got the milk for them. Mill gasped but inaudible for nobody to hear. The male looked back and Mill instantly turned a corner but was met with girls..? He looked at them startled as they grinned. One with long aqua hair and another with red tips.
"Uh hello? Do you two need anything?" Mill asked them. They shook their heads.
"You're really hot, do you have a girlfriend?" The girl with teal hair asked.
He shook his head wondering why they would ask that.
"Hmm, how about we make a bet?" The other girl asked.
"Uh oh I don't know I-" mill started, nervously.
"Ah don't worry it'll be good." The girl with red hair promised as she touched Mill's arm.
"It's gonna be a great bet, depends on who wins though..." the other girl whispered as she stroked Mill's hair
By now Mill was the definition of Uncomfortable.
Now out of the blue, a male older than Mill came walked out, and yanked the girl with red hair gently, letting his arm slung over her shoulders. He had bright blue hair and a chiseled jawline. Now he was the definition of Attractive.
"Why the hell are you talking to my girlfriend? Do I know you?" He asked.
Mill just stayed quiet trying to find the words.
"it would be great if you could leave her the fuck alone, she's mine. Everyone knows that unless...you don't know who I am..?" He asked with deep rage.
"You don't know me the Lim Sejun? Well if you walk around these streets and talk to these girls then better let the name stick." Sejun said, walking closer. Mill gulped. Why didn't the girls who started this say anything?
"I just-" mill shut his eyes tight.
He froze when he felt someone by his side.
"Leave him alone. They bothered him so I suggest you get it straight with them."
It was the blonde from earlier.
Sejun scoffed and walked away.
Sure a lot of people knew Sejun but everyone knew who he was.
"Ah, good ol' Park Ji been a while hasn't it? Didn't you promise me something? Starts with an 'm' and ends with a dollar sign? Just curious, you didn't forget? Did you?" He asked inches away from him.
"Why would I forget about something that can purposefully drive you away?" He asked turning to walk away waiting.
"Ji the fuck is this? I don't need this much!" Sejun yelled out frantically as he counted extra fifties.
"Just a few more to keep your hands off of him." He pointed to Mill who stood like a statue.
"Ah well lucky you I wasn't going to anyway, see ya." Sejun waved to them as he walked faster than the girls. He knew immediately they were at fault it wouldn't be like Park Jisung to lie. Mill looked up to meet the stranger's dazzling oak-colored eyes.
"Come on"
"wh- where are we going?"
"The walk you refused to go on because I was there." With that, He took Mill's hand and the two walked down the pretty sidewalk. "What's your name?" He asked mill. "I'm Mill."
"Uh, so what's your name?" Mill asked.
"Park Jisung but around here everyone calls me Love... I don't know why so I go with ironically I don't know how to love." He said to mill who was still confused about what to call this strange being.
He just nodded when they made eye contact. "Just call me Love," He said.
"cool love, so what bring you here?" Mill asked as they walked down the sidewalk.
"I don't know, I don't really live here but now I do. I live with my roommate in one of these apartments." He explained.
"What about you?" love asked.
"Here with my friends to record stuff for a new song," Mill explained nonchalantly.
"Really that's so cool!" Love exclaimed with sparkles in his eyes.
"No it's really not it's so boring I just sit, Nine just plays the music and makes arrangements, and the three others just dance." Mill slouched.
"Aw damn, that is boring." Love deadpanned.
Mill chuckled. He only said it was boring because he didn't want his new friend to be swallowed up by music or influenced by his other friends to devote his life be a SoundCloud rapper.
"What about you? Don't you have any friends?" Mill asked facing Love.
He shrugged. "My roommate's pretty cool."
Mill smiled.
"Are you close with all those people? It seems like a lot, where do you even see them?" Love asked bewildered by the fact that someone could have so many friends.
"Well, I guess I only knew Nine but somehow there's five of us. I don't know if we're all close friends but some have their favorites I used to have friends that didn't have a SoundCloud account be the only thing that brought us together. We're all still in high school but the comments and likes.. even web dramas and News channels feature us as the fantastic five who made a hit in one day as if Nine and I didn't meet over direct messaging on SoundCloud. Like sure my idols all messaged me and everything and we all share one account so we all feel rewarded but even still Nine's song still gets more popular than mine. I'd not care or anything but it's just annoying how people just-..." he sighed and you could see he was sad but he just laughed it off.
"I mean I'm great at singing but having to record each week would be boring." Love tried to reassure him.
"Finally someone agrees," Mill muttered.
With that, the two kept talking and somehow they ended up back at the building mill came from.
Mill gazed up at the studio as he just assumed Nine was already finished.
"Hey, your Park Jisung! Last year when you were in your fourth year and I was in my third! Wait didn't you sing that one song with like three high notes?" It was Rie.
"Hi to you to Rie," Mill muttered.
Love just nodded as the memory came back to him. The song had such intense range and he nailed it, earning the title of winner of the Yoondae high school talent show champion.
"That's insane, I've always been wanting to sing with a teen prodigy legend like you!" He exclaimed.
"He can't he's busy." Mill interrupted.
"Then... what are you doing here, at the studio? Love are you going to danc-"
"No, he's not he's going to leave Rie." Mill said as he dragged the male away from the Studios.
Rie just shrugged.
"You can meet my friends when they're willing to meet someone who won't join their cult." Mill clarified.
Love chuckled.
"But we'll still meet, right? I'll just walk around pretending I didn't know you were taking that path and we end up talking!" Love described. Mill just gave a hearty laugh and nodded his head.
"Of course!"
