*Two week time skip because I tend to drag this story along too much.*

W// Mentions of childbirth

Puffy's girlfriend moved into the castle 2 weeks ago. She got along nicely with everyone. Surprisingly Skeppy didn't have a problem with her. Her name was Rosie. (Random made-up original character.)

Rosie had been showing signs she would be labouring soon, naturally no one could sleep. Bad laid awake next to Skeppy. He didn't want to miss the baby being born, it wad exciting even if the baby wasn't his. Yet.

"Bad go to sleep, you'll know when she goes into labour." Skeppy mumbled, cuddling in closer to his lover. "If you don't rest a bit, you won't be any help."

"You're right...I just can't calm down."

"Jeez...what will you be like when we get our own baby?" Skeppy looked up at him, waiting for an answer.

"I don't even know..." Bad giggled, and kissed Skeppy's cheek. "You still sure about adopting a baby?"

"Yeah, I think so."

"Yay, I can't wait!"

"Go to sleep."

"Fine..."

-

Bad fell asleep for a couple hours. Then he was woken up by Sam knocking on the door.

"Bad, The baby is coming!"

That was enough to shake Bad out of his sleep. He got up and quickly turned on a lamp. "Okay, I'm coming!"

Skeppy woke up and rubbed his eyes. "Baaad, go back to sleep."

"Rosie's baby is coming, come on. Let's go support her." Bad put his glasses on and headed out of the room.

Skeppy got out of bed and dragged himself along. "I don't want to see childbirth, that sounds gross."

"That's fine, we'll probably be banished outside the room anyway. Once it's time for the baby to be delivered."

"How long will this take?"

"Oh...hours, if not a full day."

"A full day?!" Skeppy whined. "Remind me never to give birth."

"Skeppy, you can't give birth." Bad shook his head in annoyance, as they made it to the designated birthing room. It was just a guest room that never got used.

Puffy was glad to see them. "Finally! I'm freaking out!"

"You're freaking out?!" Rosie hissed at a contraction.

Bad walked over and held both of their hands. "It'll be okay, I can't even imagine how bad it hurts."

Skeppy leaned against the wall, knowing Bad would be invested in this all day. He'd offer his support, but he was uncomfortable just being in the room.

"How far along is she?" Bad knew a thing or two about childbirth. He had read an educational health book once. It nearly scarred him, but at least he had some knowledge.

"She's 5cm dilated." The midwife told him, while occasionally checking her progress.

"Okay...right..." Bad wasn't sure what exactly that meant. All he knew was it had to be painful.

"What does that mean?" Skeppy asked from across the room.

"Oh uh" Bad didn't want to exclude him. "It means her cervix opened up 5cm."

"What the hell is a cervix?"

"It's part of her uterus, right?" Bad asked the midwife, who just nodded.

"What the fuck is a uterus?"

Puffy glared at him. "Can you just leave? You're going to stress her out."

"Gladly!" Skeppy walked out of the room and leaned against the door. He planned on sneaking back to bed.

It didn't take long for everything to get chaotic. Skeppy heard them all moving around, yelling for things. He didn't want to know what was going on in there.

He managed to wait for 2 hours outside the door, then he was done. He went back to the bedroom and laid down. Falling asleep for another 2 hours.

Bad had been the one to go wake Skeppy again. "Skeppy! How are you sleeping?"

Skeppy groaned and sat up. "Like a baby, can you leave me alone?"

"No, I need you." Bad was sweating and trembling, probably from the stress. He worried way too much about others.

Skeppy frowned, and held Bad's hand. "What's going on? Is everything going okay?"

"I don't know...Rosie doesn't seem to be doing okay. They can barely keep her conscious. Now it's time to push, and she isn't able to."

"Oh no...what are they going to do?" Skeppy pulled Bad into a hug.

"I don't know...I had to leave and take a break. My heart can't take it. Sam had to go in and help them."

Skeppy kissed Bad's cheek. "I hope everything goes okay...Rosie seems like a good person."

"Yeah...and you know how the world likes to treat good people." Bad sighed.

-

The two stayed in their bedroom for the remainder of the delivery. Skeppy tried his best to keep Bad's mind off the mother and baby.

Soon Sam came by and knocked on the door. "Bad..." His voice was soft and full of sorrow.

Bad took a deep breath and opened the door. "Yeah?" His eyes fell to Sam's arms. Sam was holding a newborn baby, still covered in a little blood. "Oh my gosh-" Bad knew he had to be scared. "Are they okay?"

Sam nodded and looked down at the baby. "They're a good baby. Only cried for the first minute..."

"Then...why are they here and not with Rosie?" Bad chewed on his lip nervously.

"She didn't make it...Puffy asked me to bring the baby to you. Can you watch them for a couple hours? Puffy's not doing so well..." Sam held the baby out to Bad.

Bad teared up and took the baby. "I...Oh my goodness..."

Skeppy walked over and looked down at the baby. "It's so tiny..." He wrapped an arm around Bad, who was now crying quietly. He didn't want to wake the baby.

Sam walked away, needing to help clean up. As well as keep Puffy from becoming hysterical.

"That's not fair..." Bad sniffled and held the baby close. "You deserve to have your mommy." He told the sleeping infant.

Skeppy put his hand down and gently rubbed the baby's cheek. "They'll be okay...do you think they are a boy or a girl?"

Bad shrugged "I don't know, Sam didn't say...I feel like it's a boy."

"Well I think it's a girl."

Bad smiled sadly "It can be either, all, or none of those. I just want them to be healthy. For Puffy's sake, she needs this baby to be okay."

Bad had no idea that this baby wouldn't be raised by Puffy.
