"what do you mean? How is he a prince?" Bad wondered.

"You wanted a baby didn't you?" Now you have one." Puffy didn't want to look at the baby. Just the thought of seeing the baby made her feel sick. He was a reminder of what happened to his mother.

"I- Puffy, he's your baby." Bad tried to reason with her.

"He was Rosie's baby...I don't want to raise him." Puffy's attitude towards the baby seemed very out of character. Before this she wanted a baby just as much as Bad. Now she was willingly to give up a child that could be hers.

Bad didn't want to judge Puffy. However he did feel like she was abandoning the baby. "Puffy...you're going to change your mind."

"No I won't, he's yours." Puffy made her decision final, and walked away.

Bad expected her to change her mind after a couple weeks. Unfortunately that didn't happen. Fortunately Bad developed a strong bond with the baby. Sometimes he felt like he was the biological mother. His motherly instincts were incredible.

-

Skeppy laid in the bed, with the baby on his chest. It had been a long day, and the night seemed even longer. He didn't realize how exhausting a baby was. "Baaaad...can we get a nanny yet?"

Bad was laying next to Skeppy, falling asleep. "No...maybe in the future...if Puffy doesn't change her mind."

"How can I sleep if he won't let me put him in his cradle?" Skeppy whined.

"Just put him in there."

"Then he'll cry."

Bad huffed "Well wait for him to go to sleep. Then sneak him into the cradle."

"He won't sleeeeep. This baby has insomnia."

"Babies don't get insomnia, you muffinhead." Bad sat up and groaned. "Give him to me, I'll see what I can do."

Skeppy handed over the baby.

Bad rocked him gently, while humming a random tune.

The baby started to cry instead of go to sleep.

"Grr...come on, are you hungry?" Bad didn't like to hear the baby crying. "Skeppy, go make Duckie a bottle."

Skeppy pouted and rolled out of bed. "He's lucky he's cute." He went down to the kitchen and made a bottle.

Bad fed the bottle to Duckie, while Skeppy curled up and fell asleep. Despite the difficult times, Bad unconditionally loved him.

After the bottle was finished, Bad tried to burp him. Only to be spat up on. "Ew...that's gross..." He shuddered, and shook Skeppy awake.

Skeppy woke up and whined tiredly. "Fuck off, I'm tired."

"Language. Hold Duckie. He just threw up on me." Bad forced the baby in Skeppy's arms.

"Fiiine."

"Don't get all annoyed with me. You wanted a baby too, remember? Babies aren't always all smiles and giggles."

"I figured we'd have a nanny, like normal rich families."

Bad stood up and rubbed his eyes. "Whatever, just hold him." He went and changed his shirt, before crawling back in bed. "He asleep yet?"

"No, he's sucking on my shirt."

"We really need to get him a pacifier. It might help him sleep."

-

Eventually the baby slept, and Skeppy put him in his cradle. The two kings took advantage of the peace and went to bed. Hoping for at least a few hours of sleep.

They were woken up again early in the morning. Duckie was crying for the attention of the kings.

Bad got up first and picked him up. Rocking him until he stopped crying. The sun was just starting to shine into their bedroom.

Skeppy rolled over and opened his eyes. The first thing he saw was his husband with the baby. He smiled unknowingly.

Bad turned around. "Oh look, Daddy is awake."

"Daddy?" Skeppy's heart skipped a beat.

"Well, yeah? For now anyway." Bad still thought Puffy would change her mind. It would break their hearts, but they would hand over the baby.

"Shit..." Skeppy whimpered and hid his face in the blanket.

"What's wrong?" Bad frowned, while still rocking the child.

"Mn...this is all too real. It's kind of overwhelming." Skeppy took a deep breath. He told Bad he was ready for a baby, but now he was unsure again.

"I know, I'm a bit overwhelmed too. It's not easy adjusting to this change...but we love him. Right?" Bad smiled down at the baby.

"Yeah...I love him, it's just a lot to handle. Maybe I wasn't ready." Skeppy admitted, hoping Bad wouldn't get mad.

Bad walked over and sat on the edge of the bed. "Skeppy...I'm sorry you feel like that. I wasn't expecting us to have a baby this fast. Especially not in these circumstances. If Puffy doesn't decide she wants him, we don't have a choice now."

Skeppy uncovered his face and propped himself up. He looked at the baby. "I want him, don't think I don't. It's just kind of scary...to have a baby. If he's really ours forever, I'll try to be the best dad I can."

Bad's heart fluttered as he heard Skeppy call himself a dad. "Oh my gosh...you're right, it is kind of an overwhelming feeling. We're parents." Even if Bad felt overwhelmed, he still knew he wanted this life. He wanted to be a father, this was his dream. A family with his soulmate.

Skeppy sat up and hugged Bad and his baby. "I love you guys..."

"We love you too" Bad said it back, and leaned into the hug. "I know it's scary, but I know we'll be okay."

"When will we tell your parents?" Skeppy asked.

"When we know for sure he's ours."

Skeppy nodded "okay, sounds good...will they be happy?"

"I don't know...they can be a bit weird. I'm hoping they'll just be glad that we have a prince."

Skeppy came to a realization, his mouth fell open. "Woah... we're literally raising the future king of the Bad Lands."

"Woah..." Bad had the same reaction, looking down at the baby. "You could be king one day!"

The baby whined in response.

"And you're going to be whiny like your dad." Bad joked, making Skeppy whine as well.

"I'm not whiny! Baaaad, take it baaaack."

"Not whiny? Skeppy the first time we met, you cried over icecubes."

"So? Hmf."

"You're lucky I still fell for you."

"Oh yeah? Well you're lucky I still fell for you. Your outfit was so fucking ugly. You looked like a poodle."

"A poodle? How?"

"They have those little fluffy parts around their legs."

"Oh my gosh! It's not my fault, Sam picked it out."

"You should of fired him."

"Oh shut up icecube boy."

"Make me, poodle."

Bad felt cheeky so he swiftly kissed Skeppy on the lips without thought. Then he pulled away, hoping Skeppy was okay with that. "Sorry-"

Skeppy let Bad know it was okay, by interrupting him with another kiss.

They enjoyed the euphoric moment together. Everything felt right in the world. At least for now.
