*°*°• Chapter 4 •°*°*

Where am i?

The sensation of falling is the last thing i remember, but it wasn't just falling. Before i felt any impact, i swear i started flying. Could have been my imagination, or i could have just hit my head to hard. Since no one else was around except Venti.  It would have been impossible for him to stop my fall...right? 

Sitting up after my fall, my head was ringing with pain from the impact. I looked around to see if Venti was still around but i couldn't find him. he just left. What was even stranger was, the sky was so bright. Half of the day was already over, and i'd just been laying here. I can't believe he would leave me here all by myself last night. Didn't even think to bring me somewhere safe, or at least inside the city walls of Mondstadt. 

I guess someones true character shows when your helpless and unconscious.I can't believe i fell for his heart warming songs and welcoming smile. This was quite disappointing, but i should have seen it coming. Not like many people ever stay with me for long. 

Wanting to get up from the ground, i held onto the side of the tree and tried to pull myself onto my feet, but immediately losing my balance and falling back down. "i guess the floor isn't so bad" i said to myself, laying back down to stare at the sky beyond the tree leaves. 

I'd have to get up at some point, my mom was probably sending a search party for me. I waited for a couple more minutes before trying to get up again, this time staying on my feet. It was going to be a long walk home, but it's not like i have anywhere else i could go. 

For some reason, the fields of Windrise looked a bit different than before, i could be wrong though. Anyways, i had to focus on the task at hand, which was getting home in one piece. Hopefully not hitting my hitting my head off of anything else. 

I had finally make it back inside the comfort of my own home, by the time i got their though, it seemed as if everyone was asleep already, i guess they went to bed early? 

Opening the door to my mothers room, it was empty. So was grandpa's room... That made me anxious, because he never left the house. Did something happen? Venti left me alone, and my family was gone, i was all alone...

It was all just a dream... Swiftly sitting up, i was back at the base of Vanessa's tree. looking over to see Venti sitting next to me was a new surprise. Since he had disappeared in my dream, and it had felt so real, even with the slight changes. I hadn't really expected him to wait for me to wake up, it was really sweet. He seemed to be distracted by something.

"Hey, are you ok, what are you thinking about over there" he seemed to snap out of his little trance when he heard me speak. 

"Traveller, you're awake, how are you feeling?" he seemed genuinely worried about me. moving closer to make sure i wasn't hurt. I was kind of nervous by how close he was, but it was nice to know someone cared for my well being. 

"yeah, im fine, how long had i been sleep for?" One thing my dream got right was the time of day. Well at least i slept well for once, even if it was because i fell out of a tree... 

"That's good to hear, it's been 16 hours, please eat this" he said handing me the apple i'd given him earlier. 

I was kind of allergic to apples, sometimes they made me sick to my stomach when i ate them, but this one was from Venti, and he seemed to really like them. So... i guess it's time for me to get used to eating them. I bit into the apple, and i didn't get sick this time! The apple tasted pretty good too. 

Thanking Venti for all his help, and for making sure i didn't get kidnapped or injured. You never know what could happen to you, I was very grateful for this. I'd have to pay him back later, somehow.
