In love with Newt

Chapter 11

Newt was trying to get up, but Gally wouldn't let him go. "Go! take them!" Gally demanded, as his 'slaves' forced us to the door. It was beginning to close, "See ya later!" Called out one of the boys, they pushed us out into the maze, I could hear Newt yelling at Gally, and I could hear the box come up...

"Ok, how do we do this?" asked Thomas, as the doors slammed shut , 

"When I was out here, i found a circle in the maze, you know? where the path repeats itself, and kept running around. Theres no creey monsters, maybe a growl or two." I finished. Thomas blinked a couple times, "okay... where do we go?" I looked around, "follow me" i took off running to where I was last time I was out here. Finally we reached the circle. "Here?" asked Thomas. "Here." I said, looking around. It was already dark out, just the light of the moon guided us around the circle. Thomas was ahead of me, keeping a brace jog. I followed him. 

"GRRRRRRRRR" the sound echoded, bouncing off the walls of the maze, ringing in my ears. "What the heck?!" Thomas halted in his spot. "Keep moving Thomas" I wispered. He jogged, we kept on the cirlce. He stopped again. "what no-" i didn't finsh, "shhhhhh!" he looked around, "do you hear that? " i looked at the back of his head with one of those looks like, 'are you an idiot' "No, but i'd like to hear the sound of your feet running." But just then i herd it, heavy breathing, not mine, not Thomas's, something else was watching us. "Run, run to the square!!!!" He took off, I was right on his heels. I passed him, "Come on Thomas!" He picked up his pace a bit, enough to keep up with me. Finally the sound stopped and we stopped when reaching the square. 

Thomas and I were both out of breath, "The. box. remember. it. came. up?" he asked, then i remembered the box had come up, way to early. "Yea, probably another glader and food and water." The sun had just peaked, just enough light for us to find our way back to the door, for the opening of the doors, we stood in front of the doors and waited until they opened, waiting to see Gally's face when he see's us, alive. And I, was waiting to be back in Newts arms. Suddenly the doors slowly, yet surely opened and I saw Gally. "Wow.'' He laughed and clapped, "congrats you guys." I gavve him a glare and jogged past him, "If your looking for Newt, hes not here!" Gally yelled back at me. I w turned around and walked back toward him, "where is he?!" He looked in my eyes, "I told you I could do better." He smiled, i shook my head and walked away, looking for Newt. "Hey Josie?!" I turned around one last time, "Hes with the new girl."
