I ran. Ran all the way to the school. To the cherry blossom tree. I huffed then slid down the tree and hugged my knees. I couldn't hold it back. The voices taunted me. 'I hate you.' 'Love you? Pffffffft. As if.' If love was like this to everyone, then how could they stay alive?
"It hurts..." I whispered, and sniffed. "What hurts?" I lifted my head up to see Laxus crouching down to look at me worriedly. For a seventeen year old, that guy is huge.
"L-Laxus?!?!?!?!?!? When did you come over???" I asked. "Duh, just a second ago. Answer my question." He said. I got annoyed, but just sighed and answered.
"You'd never understand....." I muttered, putting my head back into my knees. "Ya? Well, try me." He said, and I looked up again. "O-okay..." I said. Laxus sat down next to me.
"I had a loving family, till I was seven. My mother died in a car accident caused by me, and ever since then my father has been abusing me." I started. "Yeaouch." He said, and I nodded.
"So, I ran away. I went to this school, met my best friend again, and I was very happy. But then, three months ago, everything changed. My father found me, and this time, tried to kill me. But then, Natsu saved me by being my dad's dummy and got stabbed a thousand times and one of the places was his heart." Laxus touched his heart.
"So, he fainted and I caught him. But then I spotted Gray and Juvia, and Gray stood up for me. He got stabbed too. But he didn't flinch, or cry in pain. He laughed. It was scary." Laxus didn't truly have an emotion on his face, but I could tell he was angry.
"Then, the police arrived, just as my dad..... my dad..." Laxus looked shocked but he nooded. "Don't say it, it won't help." Laxus said, and tears dropped from my eyes. "I-I caused it all, Laxus. IT'S ALL MY FAULT!" I said, and collapsed into Laxus' arms, crying. "Shhhh, it's going to be okay. I know exactly what it feels like." Wait, his voice cracked a bit. Whaaaaaaaa??????
"Laxus-" "No. It... it needs to be said."

Natsu's POV

"L-Lisanna!" I said, and Lisanna ran up to me. "Natsu.... what's going to happen to you?" Lisanna said, sniffing. "Lisanna, I-I might...-" "Heeeeelllllo Lisanna! How ya-oh heeeeeyyyyyy Natsu." I looked at Gray and mouthed "Thanks so much." to him and he mouthed back "Dude, Lisanna doesn't need to know." But I didn't listen. "Li-" "Natsu, if I don't need to know, then please don't tell me." Lisanna said, looking away. "Cause I already know," She whispered. "Cause you already know what?" I asked. Lisanna looked at me again, tears falling down her face. "Natsu.... I know you're going to die."
"How?" I asked, shocked. "Natsu..... whenever you had one of those mini heart attacks...... the doctors..... they always told me, Natsu. They always told me you were going to die!" Lisanna cried. She went down on her knees and sobbed quietly.
"Lisanna, listen." I went off of the hospital bed. Damn! My legs fell asleep. I walked-no, limped towards Lisanna, and rubbed her back, and she collapsed into my arms. "Hey, I'm not going to die....." I said. But I wasn't really sure. Would I live?

Lucy's POV

I gasped. "Laxus, you're even worse...." I said, and Laxus nodded. "But the difference is that I've changed. I've done what I thought was best. How about you?"
I thought. I shook my head. "No.... I've never done it that way. It was always 'Do what your father says!' To me." Laxus nodded. "That does make sense.... but now's the time to change it. You can save Natsu. Save Natsu." Laxus said. Now, you might think it's weird he's like this, but he is nicer to me, weirdly, than to most of the people he knows.
"How you-? Never mind." I said, and hugged Laxus. "Thank you so much, Laxus. I'll surely help you next." I smiled at him, and stood up. A tear trickled down my cheek. But it was a happy one.
I ran away, all the way to the hospital. As soon as I reached the hospital, something clicked in my brain. I figured out how to save Natsu. Whether he hates me or doesn't.
