Chapter 10: fainted

~ her pov ~

I know magiging issue kami ni Jace because of his surprises. Siguradong may mga fans siya na naka picture or nasa sm that time. Focus sa studies Ve! Bumaba na ako sa car and I felt stares agad. I turned off my phone until today para di ko makita ang kumakalat sa twitter about us.

"Hey!" I heard Jace shouted.

"Hi!" I waved

"san ka?"

"I'll ditch first subject. I have to study for the quiz sa second subject" I replied.

"first subject ko is at 9. Samahan kita. Sa lib ka ba?"

"yeah..."

I felt stares and I felt uncomfortable. I'm only famous because of my parents, not because of being the "crush" of Jace. Plus nasa tabi ko pa si Jace ngayon na di ko alam if tulog ba dahil nakatakip ang librong binabasa niya sa mukha niya.

9:00 second subject ko, I still have 30 mins. I reviewed everything pero nahihirapan ako mag focus. Sumasakit ang dibdib ko at lumalamig ang mga kamay at paa ko, baka dahil sa aircon lang ng library. Before I slept nag-alarm ako para magising kami ni Jace.

I woke up dahil napahiga sa kamay ko si Ve. I was shocked. She fell asleep kaka review siguro, she must be tired of reviewing. She looked so pale, wala nang kulay ang lips niya. I went out to get water and biscuits for her. Medyo malayo ang canteen kaya I used my car para mabilis makapunta doon.

"Hi! Can you get me a-"

"JACE SI VE!" I looked for the person calling me, it was Louis. Bumagal ang mundo ko. What happened? "Jace, nahimatay!!!" Ang bagal mag process.

I ran fast sinundan ko sila Louis. "Nasan na?" "Dinirecho na sa hospital kasama ni Jasper" I fumed in anger. I rushed inside my car and drove to Quinto Hospital. For sure dun siya dadalhin dahil sakanila yun.

I rushed sa emergency room. "Ve-" I was asking for her name and someone called me.

"Jace?" I heard auntie Anica crying.

"Auntie, what happened?" I comforted her with a hug dahil iyak siya ng iyak.

Once Aunite Anica stopped crying I talked to her. "Tita, I'm sorry" I felt my tear dropped.

"I was buying food for her when it happened." My tears continued to drop.

"We still don't know what happened, yung Dad ni Louis doctor din dito. Siya kasama ni Ve sa room." She wiped her tears that continued falling. I hugged her "I'm sorry, tita. I promise to take care of Ve from now on. Hinding hindi ko siya hahayaan na masaktan pa ulit" I will keep my promise. It may sound cliché but I will be Ve's knight and shining armor.

"Anica, okay naman si Ve. Nag hyperventilate siya, it seemed like she was crying for a long span of time kaya di na nakahinga, nanigas and nahimatay. She's sleeping for now. I think she has problems, you need to talk to her bago pa lumala ang lahat" Nag tinginan kami ni tita nang marinig naming ang sinabi ni Tito Robert. "Can we see her now?" I asked so eager I wanna see Ve.

"Ve" I said calmly as I entered her room.

She looked at me, I don't know what to do. Should I hug her or sit beside her lang. I wanna hug her pero baka masaktan siya kaya nasa may pintuan lang ako. Aunite Anica bought food for Ve.

I slowly walked going to her bed. "Where were you?" She asked, her voice was soft and parang nahihirapan siyang mag salita.

"I was buying food for you, I'm sorry" She signaled me to come closer. "I'm sorry, Ve" I hugged her. "Why were you crying?" I asked. "Jasper wants to come back with me, he was threatening me." She cried. "Shhh stop stop" I comforted her and gave her a glass of water.

"Sasaktan ka niya kapag sinagot kita, I know you're stronger than him but I'm scared." She continued. I saw her fear, I clenched my jaw and jasper is lucky if I don't see him because I promise I'll rip his head off. "he kissed me forcefully and because of clogged nose kakaiyak and his mouth on mine" she started sobbing "I-I couldn't b-breathe" she sobbed more.

"I promise I will protect you, I will be by your side. I can't promise na you won't see Jasper at school but I will protect you from him." I want to ban Jasper from school but the hard part is his my cousin. He was my best friend from kinder to high school. But harassing a girl and forcefully kissing a girl at their lowest? He deserves a spot in hell.

I sent a text to Jasper. "Coz, no matter how proper you look we both know that I have more discipline. Forcing a girl to kiss you? You don't even know respect."

"C'mon coz, we both know she looks sexy in those school uniform, I was horny dude" this motherfucker replied. What's wrong with people these days?

"It's not about what she wears, It's how dirty your mind is. Kaya ka tinago ng parents mo sa Bicol because of how bad your attitude is" Ayaw ng mga Chinese mapahiya lalo na si amah and angkong since Malaki ang pangalan nila. When Jasper was 4th year highschool he was caught kissing a girl inside campus, kaya naging usap-usapan si Jasper dito. I turned off my phone dahil kahit gaano ko turuan si Jasper ay hindi siya matututo. Close-minded people? They're the fucking worst.

Ve and Auntie Anica is asleep sa bed, I'm at the couch it's my sleeping spot. Auntie Anica has to go around 4am dahil need niya pa daw mag shower and mag run ng errands for the restaurant. Ako ang ma iiwan kaya di na ako umuwi. Nag padala nlng ako kay manong ng extra clothes.

"Sir, breakfast niyo po ni ma'am Ve" the nurse said. I opened my eyes and saw maybe 10 nurses, kinikilig at mga naka ngiti. God damn, my girl's sick! Di man lang ipahinga si Ve ang iingay pa tulog nga si Ve eh.

"Can't you see that your patient is sleeping? You wanna be reported?" I glared at them, they went out immediately. Na iwan nlng yung nurse na nag bigay ng food namin. "Uh sir, pag nasa vip room po kasi di po kami nag papapasok basta basta-"

"wala pa si Auntie Anica, walang mag babantay sakanya" I replied
"uh no sir! Okay lang po, nasa list ka po ng pwede pumunta, pero may nag pa appointment po kasi na Makita si Ms. Ve 10:00-11:30 daw po, Jasper Sy po ang name" I clenched my jaw and nang init ang mukha ko "No! ban Jasper Sy from this room" I said and immediately looked away.

"Jace, pa abot ng water" I immediately stood up and gave Ve a glass of water. "Sabi ng doctor we can leave na tomorrow morning. I already told Auntie Anica. She'll be here at around 5 tapos I'll leave na." Tumalikod ako and felt a hand "Don't leave, please stay" she intertwined our fingers together. "Okay I will" I smiled to assure her that I'm not going anywhere.
