"The festival?" I tilted my head to the side wondering if this part was ever mentioned in the manhwa before

"Yes my lady! It is a festival that was set to celebrate the abolition of Slavery in the Castina Empire" Lila stated while brushing my hair

Lately the archduke has been very busy, let alone Eldred who is receiving succession courses

Enrad is working on his swordsmanship skills and i feel like I'm being a useless piece of shit

Lila and Rose have been keeping me company the last few days but i just can't keep on like this

I haven't found enough information regarding  the war and my nightmares are getting worse day by day

So here i am sitting in the library (at home) sighing and feeling useless

This so frustrating! I can't seem to focus

I shut the book I've been reading so far resting it on the far end of the (long long) couch

"Elly"

I jerked up at the voice calling out my name and looked over at the door

"Daddy? Are you done with work!" I beamed a little bit exited

"No, i just came over the library to look for some papers" he stated walking over to me

"Your complexion is terrible" the archduke stated sitting along with me

"Well everyone else has been working hard so i felt like doing something too" i stated looking down on my little fingers which were tightly holding onto my dress

The archduke however never looked satisfied of my answer

"Something has been bothering you, what is it" he asked sternly this time

I kept quite, holding onto my dress a bit more making the archduke sigh

"I won't let it out of you by force but when you feel like opening up to me, i'll be there"

After those words i never seemed to take notice of the tears that escaped my eyes, i was engulfed in a tight embrace from the archduke

"Thank you Daddy" i managed to whisper between my sobs

I never felt this much comfort before. And at that time as if he was reading my mind

"Estelle you are my daughter no matter what others say. I love you"

I held him tighter drowning his coat with more tears
And he stayed there until i was done sniffing and crying

"Come look at this one here my lady!"

I giggled and jogged towards Lila who seemed to enjoy the festival much more than i had imagined

As per due fathers request, i had to attend the festival to cheer me up so he told Lila and Sir Feriss to accompany us

But something seems off about him

I ran faster towards Lila taking a little glance at Feriss who then looked startled and shivered afterwards

Is he scared about something?

I jogged again 

making sir Feriss shiver

I jogged and heard a cry of startle behind me

(which obviously came from Feriss)

I run up to her

Sir Feriss froze looking startled

Seriously what is he scared about?

I looked behind me and stared at him, he looms so stern all of a sudden

"Sir Feriss are you alright"

I stood there waiting for an answer and his next words shock me

"My lady please be more careful and avoid running for now"

ahhh now i get it, you're scared witless because if i return with even a scratch father will kill you    or even worse

just what did he tell you for you to shiver like that?

i guess i won't be enjoying the festival that much.
