"I know you can't think straight now. When you are done sorting out your problems, Will you marry me?"

At that exact moment Enrad made his appearance, he took hast steps and pilled me in his chest with his left arm, tightly as if protecting me fiercely, glaring at Allendis, i raised my rabbit head and glanced at his killing stare.

"Enrad?" was he here this whole time?

"Oh brother-in-law nice to meet you!"

"you. get out" his voice was calm yet threatening, low yet cold

Enrad was the same age as Allendis and they had the same height, but out of the two i'd say Enrad was more intimidating. Allendis was handsome for one, he wasn't strong but he wasn't weak either.

"Don't you like me brother-in-law?"

"Don't call me that, Estelle won't marry you, get out"

should i step in? what am i supposed to do in this situation,

"Why, do you dislike me?"

"You only met Estelle recently and you claim to love her? that's absurd and i don't like nothings like you hanging around my sister, get out."

was Enrad like this before? he's not the type to suddenly burst out like this,

"I fell in love at first sight"

"Sir Verita you know what this means proposing to someone who might ascend to the throne right"

"but unlike Lady Monique who was trained to be Empress from the start Lady Estelle was shown no such treatment so she has a less possibility to becoming Empress"

He's right, even if I'm blessed with a name, I haven't received succession classes meant for Empress,

I couldn't stop to ask myself the same reason, but could it be because of his father who never acknowledged him, was he trying to get engaged to me for the same reason he did for Aristia,

"Enry it's okay, Allendis and i are just friends" i proceeded turning my gaze to Allendis "and Sir Allendis, i think it's still too soon to talk about love, so for now let's get along well" i smiled

I'm friend zoning you.

Nevertheless Allendis smiled "Yes Estelle! then i shall take my leave" he bowed curtly and left the doors.

"don't get too close to him Elly I'll get jealous!" where did the cool looking Enrad go? i  giggled,

"I promise we're just friends!" i said, hugging Enrad, "where have you been these days i missed you!" 

He hugged back giggling cutely "I'm sorry, i'll spend more time with sister from now on!"

"What's the situation?"

Turning to the door, stood two elder male figures,

"poppa!" i ran and hugged him tightly to his legs, which is where i could only reach. 

"Elly," he bent down on my level and patted my head before carrying me in his arms,

"I'm sorry you had to return alone" he sadly apologized,

"It's okay!"

"Didn't you miss me?" Eldred pointed his index towards his face which made me giggle "Yes! i missed Eldy the most!"

Suddenly the Archduke carried me to his office and shut the doors, he went to his seat -still carrying me- and sat on his chair with me on his lap, continuing with his paper work.

"Baron Alcott is being investigated on," 

"Is it so" i looked over the paper work on his desk, when something caught me off-guard, fear that it might be what i think it was.

"Daddy what is that?" i pointed to the paper located at the far end of the desk.

"It's a recommendation i got for butler position"

It can't be,

"...what's his name?"

"his name is jean, why? do you want me to hire him. he seems prominent"

"Daddy"

"Yes Elly,"

"Burn that paper."

"...what?"

"..."

"Elly is something wrong?"

"I don't like him"

"You haven't met him yet"

"I don't want him"

"..."

"As you wish then."

His response was unexpected, i assumed he would say that I'm being unreasonable and hire him anyway, but he never complained and ceased to my request ?, 

"I don't particularly need a butler and it would be a waste if you don't want him either."

"Really?" he nodded his head

" ! " shocked by my sudden kiss on his cheek  his eyes widened as i heard a pen drop in the desk,

"Thank you daddy" i smiled brightly

Now i don't have to worry about traitors anymore,

"You really don't want him huh?"

"I'm fine with just Lila and Ferris with me!"

The room continued on a path of silence the only sound being heard was the  Archduke's pen rubbing against a paper,

"I heard that Verita's second son proposed to you"

"...Yes"

The scribbling on his paper stopped as he narrowed his head on me who was sitting on his lap

"Should i dispose of him?"

"No, because i'll only marry papa!"

and with just that, he calmed down, proceeding on his writting, and me with my long waited rest.
