~Layla~

“Look Draco, she can pass as your twin if her hair was bit lighter and…” A fat stubby raven hair boy pressed his fat face closer to mine, his breath smelled horrible like, well I couldn’t really say what cause I didn‘t know. I rolled the strawberry lollipop around on my tongue, its sweet taste always kept me calm and collective. “Her eyes need to change too.”

“Will you please get your fat ugly pug face out of mine… wait you’d be an insult to pugs, they did nothing wrong to me.” Rolling my eyes I slowly pulled the now empty stick out of my mouth, the corners of my lips fell into a frown as I tossed it onto my plate.

“Oh ho ho, she even snaps like you.” The taller of the three laughed, he sort of looked like Rose but then again she is a lot prettier and brighter then this idiot. This Draco person next to me shook his head in annoyance to the two idiots, I crossed my arms rather annoyed as they just kept comparing me too him. “Look they even move alike!”

“I’m leaving…” I hissed as I abruptly stood, yanking another lollipop out of my back pocket the plastic wrapper ripped smoothly as I quickly removed it. The sweet raspberry taste flooded my taste buds which instantly calmed me down, this is the perfectly thing to calm me down from practically anything. The Slytherin Pre-Fect forced everyone to stop eating and to follow him to the common room, my eyes landed on Rose leaving with her house, she was unique with her short dark hair that was layered in its own unique way.

She had that really cute cat that lovely forest green eyes, but herself I can actually see her as my friend. I liked her fashion sense it really fit her; the black jeans hugged her hips perfectly, and I did just adore her tank top with its dark blue almost black color with a starry pattern to it. She even had a little more of a pudge on her but she still could turn some heads even is she doesn’t know, I glanced down at my own flat stomach and frowned. Maybe chocolate can help me?

“I’m Malfoy.” The platinum blonde boy that was sitting next to me now stood next to me in line, I cursed myself for being short cause there is no way I can find my through this place.

“You say something?” I gave him a sideway glance before following the rest of the house.

The walk to the dungeons were rather soothing, except the three stooges stomping about for some on explainable reason. They sound like male boars in heat, I rolled my eyes in annoyance as my fingers played with the little white stick of my lollipop. Malfoy I think his name was, or was it Marvin? Marc? Mason? I got it.. Its Malvin yes it has to be, he reminded me of a albino ferret, but he was talking to Crabby and Gastly. I laughed to myself at the pokemon reference, Muggles things have some sort of pull on me…

“Aye! Krabby… Gastly! Can you two stop stomping… it is really giving me a headache…” I placed my hands on my waist and tapped my foot.

“Crotale.” Our Pre-Fect said loud enough for everyone to hear, he turned his attention to the first years, his dark grey eyes scanned over us all. “This is the password to get in here, tell no one even those pesky Gryffindorks.”

I found that rolling my eyes is going to be a new habit of mine, the trio next to me started to push each other around well Malvin was mostly doing the pushing of his two rounder friends. Inside our common room was decorated with our house colors of Green and Silver, a large mahogany table sat a little ways away from the stairs, a green tablecloth with a silvery embroidery, behind it was three large ugly dark green couches with a various of grey pillows. Armchairs were randomly placed around the room as students plopped down on them, the couches were placed in front of a gorgeous fireplace with a beautiful Persian Rug that tied the whole room together just laying between the couches.

The Pre-Fect pointed out the sides of the dorms, left was the boys as for the right is the girls, he even pointed out that all of our stuff was brought to our rooms. Just as I sat down on one of the ugly green couches I heard a yell come from the boys’ dormitories, Malvin came walking down the stairs with a shoe in his hand, and attached to that shoe was a black and white Husky.

“Loki… what did I say about shoes!” I jumped up to grab hold of my pesky puppy, he growled and yanked his head about as his teeth sank deeper into Malvin’s shoe. “I will not give you any biscuits if you do not let go this isn’t!” He still didn’t let go, his teeth went deeper into the shoe as it started to rip.

“Get this bloody rat off my shoe! These are expensive!” Malvin wailed as he started to shake the shoe violently.

“Stop! Your going to hurt him!” I slapped Malvin clear across his face just as Toby let go the shoe and tried to bite at his hand. A read hand print started to form on his right cheek, his look on his face was that of shock and anger. I instantly brought my hand to my mouth to cover my surprise. Loki barked happily as Malvin dropped the shoe to hold his stinging cheek. “I’m sorry! Oh Merlin’s -”

“You filthy!” His face darkened in anger as he got up in my face. “Wait till my father hears of this!”

“Excuse me?! Your going to tell your daddy on me?” I puffed as I held back a laugh, was he seriously going to tell his father instead of handling it himself? What a spoiled brat, I yanked Loki off the floor and stormed out of the common room.

I wandered the halls aimlessly with Loki securely in my arms as he chewed on the shoe that idiot dropped on the ground. Half of the shoe was already gone before we even reached the moving staircases, I really lost my temper back there, Loki yipped happily as he tugged the shoe string. I patted his head as I chuckled at his cuteness, as I walked I found myself lost in the mazes of staircases and doors.

The soft mewing caught my attention as I turned down a random hallway, the cat that looked just like Misha turned the corner just as I saw the familiar hair style of Rose. I softly smiled as I picked up my pace, I really needed someone to talk to and she was the only person I actually thought of that would take my mind off of what happened in the common room.

“Pst Rose!” I whispered yelled to get her attention, she kept walking as if she didn’t hear me. I reached into my bag that I still had with me, my fingers grazed the chocolate bar I had tucked in a pocket, pulling it out I ripped the wrapper rather loudly. Just as I did she stopped and sniffed the hair then turned abruptly towards me, her eyes lightly up like Christmas morning.

“Layla!” She chirped, she had a bounce in her step as she came towards me to take the candy bar I extended towards her. Since she really liked them I could always just make her a whole lot, I love making muggle treats the only candy I have trouble with is their lollipops I could never get the blend right.

“How is your house Rose? Do you like it?” I smiled softly as Loki lifted his head to sniff Misha that had wormed his way onto Rose’s shoulder, his little black nose wiggled as he sniffed Misha’s scent, after a bit he went back to chewing on the shoe blissfully.
